The Greatest Gift of All

Once there was a young little boy by the age of 8.
He was a happy child, leading a life with many friends by his side.
His family members never cease to showcase their love for him, indeed it was a blessed life.
Until one event changed everything.

The tragedy had occurred, his great grandmother had laid recumbent for a very, very prolonged amount of time.
He was confused.
All the adults seemed rather sad.
Some of them were weeping tears, tears of deep sorrow.
Everyone seemed to be caught in some sort of hysteria.

Before he knew it, his great grandmother was being moved to someplace downstairs and laid in a large wooden box.
Her lips were unnaturally pale.
Her eyes shut, and her body was still.
That was the first time he came face to face with Death itself.

One solemn night, the memories came back to him again and again.
He wondered, "What would happen if I died?"
His heart cried for an answer.
While his family members were fast asleep, he got off the bed and went on his knees.
That was the first time he did it, not before anyone.
He clasped his hands, closed his eyes, and made a plea.
"I don't want to die O' God. I want to live."

At that point of time, he had no real idea of who God really was.
All he had was that little faith in his heart, the motivation of having to live a life even after he died was all but too overwhelming.
After all, Death had sapped what little courage he had left.

Unknowingly, these thoughts would continue to linger in his sub conscious mind.

Life itself had become seemingly meaningless, as he discovered at the age of 11.
Study, Work, Earn Money and eventually die.
There was hardly any meaning in it.
He sought hard to find the truth in life.
Unfortunately, there wasn't much use searching for it online.

He continued to live life, but with a much brighter appeal to it.
Always looking on the bright side.
But sometimes it was hard when disaster strikes time and again.
At the age of 12, he lost his grandmother.

Several times, he would continue to ponder of thoughts of the afterlife as well as the purpose of living.
There were numerous texts and examples on how one should live their live to the fullest, but none were able to help him find the way to complete his chapter.
None provided satisfying answers.
He wanted to pen his own life.

November 2006, after an invite from a classmate to come to church, he was somehow finding his long-sought for answers from the sermons of the pastor.
However, he was opinionated about one thing, all these things were connected to some entity called "God" and at the same time, took on differing names including "Jesus" and the "Holy Spirit".
All that was unknown to him.
But somewhere in his heart, he felt and desired to know this "God" that the church members knew so well.

One saturday evening, midweek in November, the pastor opened up the door for him.
He spoke, with much divine authority, that it was possible to know this "God', this "Jesus" of whom he did not know.
His heart was suddenly moved, when the pastor said that it was possible to have life, and life more abundantly, even after he died.
There was once again, the little faith that he kept in his heart.
He reached into and proclaimed in his heart, "Yes, I want to know this Jesus, who could provide an answer to my long fear of death."

On that night, he gave his heart to Jesus.
On that night, he felt transformed.
On that night, he felt renewed, as if there were new life breathed into him.

On that night, he received the Greatest Gift of All - The Love of Christ.

Almost immediately, he had a renewed passion for life.
It was unthinkable that he once had thoughts of suicide, for there was truly no meaning in living life.
But now, with new confidence, he presses on with fiery determination for his goals.
To be a high achiever, for the glory of his God.

To think the little plea he had made 7 years ago, which he had nearly forgotten over the years, had come to pass just as he was at his lowest depths.
The plea for everlasting life.
He confessed with his mouth, and received it by confession of not only the mouth, but the heart also.

If God can remember the smallest plea in your heart, one that you've forgotten with time, how much more so would He know what your really desire in life.
See if you had one chance, to renew your passion, seek the depths of your heart or find a complete understanding to your existence, would seize the moment, or let it all fade away?

Breakaway Camp

Broke away from camp today!
Awesome time there, although it was only 2 days 1 night.
Highlights: War-Games, Campfire and Confidence walk.

Disclaimer: Very little supporting details for events because certain levels of gesticulation needed.

War-Games was fun, but it was a little overplayed, in a sense, it was too competitive.
Lots of green team people sliding around.
High-action gameplay of bombs and the such haha.
Close to the last few minutes everyone was playing snatching cloths and not bombs anymore cos they were all gone.
In the end, our kim chio team lost but we had loads of fun.

After that, washed up a lil and went on to indoor cames 'cos it was raining.

The table soccer was fun, but it ended up in timo and me with back aches and muscle cramps haha.

Campfire was due to start at 8pm due to rain.
Thank God the rain stopped at 7pm.
The whole campfire atmosphere was super good.
Everyone was having fun(i guess), shouting, screaming and cheering haha.
And Davin managed to get to be Ms PSP Finalist 2007 HAHA
Rolland was super sporting, and that's how he got to be Miss PSP 2007! Congrats! haha.
Ian performed twice during the campfire and i thought "Wow."
His first song was like crowd interaction type. I forgot the song title already but it was familiar.
The second one was really anointed, as in totally.
His presence was so strong with the song.

And for the finale of the campfire was really the ne plus ultra.
Everyone forms a huge circle, and twirls around to the song to meet new people haha!
Really fun time yeah.

After that was a little free time and manhood talk by Ian to the remaining guys in the camp.

Then came the night walk.
It was pretty much, urm, well planned and not.
The timing where each person was to enter should be extended sia, but there was really alot of people so i guess they cut short the time for that.
The route was ok, hiding places were plentiful for the "ghosts".
But the scare would only come to those campers who were in dishabille.

I went alone(all guys had to go alone) and managed to catch up a 3-girl team.
Then i had to slow down because they wanted to go together, and another 2 more guys eventually caught up with us.
Kind of spoils the whole night walk atmosphere -.-

Took several pictures at the meeting place and went back to camp.

One thing to note: the shower was freezing cold.
I was shivering like a PS2 controller set on permanent vibration mode.
The chilling night atmosphere didn't help either.

After that, the camp was really idle in the sense that there weren't any more activities.
Well but had a fun time though.
Knew several new people in my zone too.
Especially the Kim Chio people haha!

Open Up Your Mind

TO peckhui: Thanks haha, haven't seen you in a long time too.
TO wc: You have camp too? Haha ok. I'm going to try to finish my homework before Christmas haha. TRY.

Today was a rather tiring day, as of now of course, since i woke up at 7 today.

Service in the morning.
Rev. Dr. John Avanzini ok don't play play.
Message see bei zai.
Hear o'lredi' chua sai siao ting tong.
Never come really buay ho say!

Well, God was really challenging me during offering time.
I find myself under the fig tree, without guile.

So after the service, went for a seminar that i really, Really, REALLY didn't feel like going.
Because i could've gone Strike Force practice with Kang Wei, which he invited me to go.
(To the uninformed: Strike Force is basically a performance group that primarily focuses on percussion only, that is to say, drums.)
And so, i felt rather a little restive at the point of time after service.

Thank God i've learnt to trust God instead of my feelings.

So in the end, i went anyway, because there wasn't any way i could go for the Strike Force practice.(Actually i was just concerned the seminar might have cost something.)

Making my way down, aside from the jokes with Timo and Ivan, the rest of the journey was rather, smooth.
At least i could find my way to the place.

Settled for a foot-long sub before the seminar started.
Actually wanted a 6-inch but i got confused with the ordering part.
Subway's the bomb i tell you.
It costs a bomb as well though.

So sat through to seminar, which i tried to keep an open mind to.
Just for the curious, it was held at MindChamps.

Presumably i was thinking it was another one of those "Succeed in Life" kind of seminars. (Which i told timo, I'll sleep through if it was.)
I'll just say, Thank God that i kept an open mind.

For some reason, "Breakthrough", "Come to pass" and even "If I can believe it, i can have it." seemed to inclusive in the seminar.
"Breakthrough" came quite a few times.
Well i guess i can't blame the speaker, he's a christian(or catholic for that matter), and such words are commonplace language.

Hmm...

That got me slightly intrigued, because i suddenly felt it made some sense.
Past cannot be changed.
Past does not equate future.
Future can be changed.
And i think they're were pushing that message rather strongly.
Heavy emphasis on teaching the child to appreciate their parents.
For some reason, i believe the founder built the centre's structure based on the values of God.

Well after that, they got this whole list of 30 words things and 2 volunteers to try and memorize, then recite it out.
Of course, they couldn't do it with a 100% accuracy.
So they got some peeps to go have some secret training in their classrooms and prove that their technique actually works.
And one of those test subjects include yours truly.

Well i must the technique is effective to a certain extent.
Its mainly a easier method of loading up heaps of info from your text books compared to si ji si bei.
I don't think it'll work if you tried it on the vocab section during a compre test.
What an experience that was.
Interesting to note.
Oh and 2 or 3 eye-candies in my group haha.
Including the volunteer from the first round. MGS.

What a more fruitful way to spend a Sunday afternoon instead of gaming the whole day away.

Ok so no time to waste right after this weekend, there be souls to save.

Random note:
CD rama at Toa Payoh surprises me much.
There be an ol' Led Zepplin album there.
Also be aye Green Day International SuperHits! album.
I have at least 5 albums i want to buy from there now.

Thursday, December 6, 2007

Ok It's been a week since i've updated.
I think i'm just pretty lazy.
About 80%. The other 20% screams in anguish as I enter one bnet game after another.

I wanted to blog about the outreach last sat, but its a little late now haha.
Hmm, for alternative references, visit Darryn's, Daphanie's or Desireey's blog.

Oh yes, been not signing in to msn because i'm gaming much haha.
Gotta stop that habit of over-gaming.
Being offline's better than ignoring everyone else who's trying to talk to you.
Besides, there is an invention called the mobile phone.

I forgot the main thought for this post today.

So the rest of the post real be rather random.

I gave tuition yesterday and tuesday, to 2 batches of primary school kids.
Thanks to my mum who managed to find people for me(:
I must say, its quite a simple job.
However, there's alot of ground work to do.
Knowing your students are important eh?
So far, earned $40 alr.
Oh yea, building fund accomplished.
Well for november anyway.
Praise God.

Zone PM on tues was absolutely awesome.
Though the guys at the back were pretty much cramped up but we could feel His presence.
So tangible was it.
Well, hope the camp will be a REAL SUCCESS!
Still trying to get people to come.

Anyone free on the 11-12 Dec?
Next tues to wed.
Lotsa activites!
War-Games, i'm thinking its going to involve water haha.

Camp at Seranbun i think. Chua Chu Kang.
Excited for it, i am.

So if you ain't doing nothing you SHOULD be here.
Please feel free to contact me for further details.

OH yes, a last bit of advertising:

I meant to post this yesterday but i forgot about until just about a while ago.

The Power of the Dollar

3 men stroll past a Ralph Lauren Polo shop.
One looked at the jacket on display and said,

"If I had enough money, I'd walk into the store and buy everything I want."

Upon hearing this, another man said,

"If I had enough money, I'd buy the whole store."

Guess what did the third man say?

"If I had enough money, I'll get Ralph Lauren himself to design for me a whole wardrobe of clothes."

2. A complaint.
3. A habitual complainer.

Attitude of Gratitude

Stumbled upon this blog by accident, but then again, anything with God is almost nothing short of an accident.
Insightful reads, here's the site.

If you took the lengths to visit it, the title would seem intriguing.
Even if you didn't, i'll include it as part of my post today.

Attitude of Gratitude - a rhyme and at the same time, a virtue.
Some say that gratitude is the mother of other virtues.
Taking a moment to consider, i believe it is so.
I took the liberty of taking gratitude to have a meaning akin to thankfulness.
If you're unconvinced, i did a search on Thesaurus.com and the results turn up to show:
http://thesaurus.reference.com/browse/thankfulness

Well then the questions here is, how is gratitude/thankfulness a virtue?
Let me answer that question via a simple example:

We all know the season of giving is approaching/has approached and it isn't hard to find parents giving children gifts at this time of the year, in fact, it has become pretty much commonplace.
If the child is receiving the gift from a familiar aunt or uncle and he/she tears open the wrapping paper with much haste, only to their dismay, it was not really what they had expected.

Let's pause here.

There are 2 general reactions that the child could partake of.

1) Choose to be thankful/grateful for the present, even though it was not what he/she wanted.
[Insert Quote]Its the thought that counts[/Insert]
[Error 227: Cliche]

2) Choose to fully portray their disgust in as many different actions as possible, only limited by the creativity of their mind.

In the place of that beloved aunt/uncle, would you feel appreciated if reaction number 2 happens?

Reaction 1 would possibly trigger off a loving response by the giver.

I admit, it isn't a very good example, but i hope it portrays how gratitude is a virtue.

Gratitude works as a resistance to other negative feelings if you like.

If you're grateful for the friends you have, you won't wonder who will backstab you next.
If you're grateful for the handphone you have, you won't worry about how other people's phones have better functions than yours.
If you're grateful for your food, you won't worry about the fat in it.
If you're grateful for your family, you certainly won't want to ruin it.

And the list goes on.

So why the big uproar about gratitude?
It seems to me that most people are not really thankful for the things they have in life.
A common sight on the streets - or rather a common sound i hear is people complaining how fraught and distraught their lives are.

"Oh you see my son can't even score an A* for maths. Maybe i have to send him for more tuition classes."

Hello lady, Thank God that you HAVE a son.

I mean, people miss out the little things in life sometimes.
I feel there's a need to really slow down, freeze the big picture and actually notice what all of this originally started from.
Always be thankful for the things you ALREADY have, and don't forget to give thanks for the things you receive.

So my friends, let us carry on with life having an attitude of gratitude integrated into our lives.
Frankly, i'm still trying hard to aggrandize it into a subconscious mentality.

Enchanted

Went to watch Enchanted today and i must say, it supersedes my expectations by at least one star.

My first thought was that it'll be kingdom-heart style of mixing all the disney characters.

But it wasn't.

I thought the humor was really good.
There was a little black humor, which i think for any movie, is a must.
Or else its too "clean".
Ok it makes it less interesting, in my opinion.
Rather lot of puns and ironies at the end though.

Rating: 4/5 Stars *Must Watch*
An enjoyable film for all ages.
How funny you'll find it is how much you can draw for it.
I like the blend of LOL-funny as well as black funny.

No more direct sales

Well went for work on tues, from an ad in the papers.
That was why you probably didn't see me online much on tues.
Then again in recent days i've haven't been online much.
Haha!
Artemis Fowl is intriguing, i must admit.

Work is how to say, HMMM, not very fruitful.
Lugging around 10 boxes of perfume doing direct sales is really harder than i thought.
Practically no one wants to buy!
Irritating.
I think i'm switching job.
Not because the scope's hard. Its because to the people doing it.
My employer smokes but that's ok, its how he tells me to sells that makes me wanna quit.
"Start with $30 for 1, then say buy 1 get 1 free. If customer dun want, make it 3 for $30."
Thanks but i rather work at LJS instead.

No more direct sales job for me.

Looking for a job that pays hourly now, NO CONTRACT and flexi-working hours if possibly. 2weeks - 1 month time.

Needa money for building fund.

Oh and bbq on monday was nothing short of a failure.
We failed to get the charcoal to be hot.
KH was really puzzled over why it didn't because we tried all sorts of methods and nothing seemed to work.
Grace even called her friend down from yishun just to help us, sadly, to no avail.
Oh well, an experience that was haha!
Next time, 9 fire starters.

God, please let there be someone able to set up the bbq tonight during chalet.

And my heartfelt apologies to BX, KE and Perry for the last minute pangseh.
To be honest, i was tired and didn't feel like moving out of the house by the time you called in the night.
I had wanted to go, maybe next time.

Right now i'm chasing after my nose.

I've discovered msn is a great tool for misleading people.

Adolescent

Somehow or another, I think the ex 2-5 people are starting to mature than I've previously noticed.

For one, there has been a revival in the number of blogs since then.

I remember very few people kept blogs, much less to say those who updated regularly.
Along the way, I've discovered that Jun Wei,Leonard,Woon Ngiap, Wei Rong and Terrence have blogs.
It came to me as a surprise.

Keeping your life in check through a blog is a rough sign that someone's grown up.
Maybe its just me, but a blog usually can only be handled by mature people.
You do want insight in your posts after all, and not leave them to be purblind.

Accountability is a mark of maturity.

Second, I've noticed that everyone sticks with their CCA people most of the time.
In a way i guess its good.
We make new friends and we must spend time to honor those friendships.

For it is said, "You reap what you sow."

If you sow seeds of time into fruits of friendships, may your labour be a relationship that is everlasting.

I guess people do change, with change being the only constant.
We all have to adapt to one another.
Thank God that I can do that.

Even if we spend lesser time with each other, hopefully, our hearts still remember the times we had.
I'm being a little over nostalgic about this, surprised at myself as well.
Sentimental, yup that's the word.
Its just I don't want to lose the friends i have gained over the years.
A pain, excruciating it is.
I must work upon those that seem to have lost place in my heart.
That is why we must treasure the moments we have.

For where your treasure is, your heart will be also.

SLIGHTLY OFF TOPIC

Most people are looking for simplicity in their life.
Well i can see woon is.
Simplicity dosen't have to seeked after, it begins in the mind.

Well i think i'm stopping here, I want to sleep early tonight and I've lost the motivation to maple.

A BIG heartfelt thanks to all who've tagged my blog while its dead.
I suddenly felt instigated to do this.

Revival?

Its been some time since I've touched this blog haha!
Hols are often the times when blogs become stagnant.

Went for double service on sat & sun, both were great!
But i almost fell asleep during the sun one.
I guess it was because I slept at 2am in the morning.
With thanks to Daph for a morning call, if not I'd be late.

Pst. Ulf was a little deeper this time round, i got a little confused at several times wondering what his message was about.
It required effort to get back on track to the sermon.
Because somehow or another, i think I'm not used to the way he preaches.
Couldn't catch the main points at times.
But overall it was good, it got me fired up.
And Carola is a GREAT singer.
Truely anointed.
I can't remember how to spell her surname because its Swedish in nature.
Much like a french name haha.
To note, She's the winner of Eurovision 1991.
To the uninformed, Eurovision is the bigger version of American Idol, similar competition, higher scale.
Like World Idol.

Went to lunch with Kok Keng, Desiree and Amanda at Changi after service on sun.
Talked alot with Kk and discovered much about the cell group.
As in alot of inside info.
Interesting session we had.
And I'm pretty sure Desiree had a manifestation of a three-year old kid that day.

TOTALLY RANDOM
Majority of Singaporeans are all polyglots.
That is to say, they can speak more than one language.
I assure I'm one myself, speaking tongues of Chinese, English. Less fluent Hokkien, Teo Chew and to a certain extent, Malay, Tamil and Jap.
The only sentence i know in Tamil is the one heard everyday at the MRT stations.

Its time to ameliorate the standards of my posts.
Hopefully, it won't become a beta noire in the sight others.

Hello people, its been a week since hols started and i'm lazing at home playing warcraft the whole day.
Ok i stayed at home today for once.
Out on wed,thurs,fri,sat.

Cousins, aunts and uncles came my house today for some prayer thing.
And my cousin was playing pacman over the com on facebook haha!

Basically spent the whole day just playing, gaming and eating.
Kinda slack huh?

Oh, hope everyone who ate the food ytd are feeling much better now.
I think its a case of food poisoning.
The funny part's this:

believing the unseen says:
hey!
[ACM] <žMelvinž> The end of Fear is where we Begin. says:
helo
believing the unseen says:
heard u vomitted ah
believing the unseen says:
better alrdy?
[ACM] <žMelvinž> The end of Fear is where we Begin. says:
yea
[ACM] <žMelvinž> The end of Fear is where we Begin. says:
i was better since ytd
[ACM] <žMelvinž> The end of Fear is where we Begin. says:
i vomitted twice
believing the unseen says:
u rmb yst
[ACM] <žMelvinž> The end of Fear is where we Begin. says:
then i felt better
believing the unseen says:
i asked u if the fried rice is cold or hot
believing the unseen says:
then u said lukewarm
[ACM] <žMelvinž> The end of Fear is where we Begin. says:
EH
[ACM] <žMelvinž> The end of Fear is where we Begin. says:
DAPH
[ACM] <žMelvinž> The end of Fear is where we Begin. says:
YOU'RE A PROPHET
believing the unseen says:
then sharon said...."i'll vomit u out of my mouth
believing the unseen says:
hahahah!
[ACM] <žMelvinž> The end of Fear is where we Begin. says:
quoted from wen hui " We must be careful about the things we say."

believing the unseen says:
hahhahaha!!
believing the unseen says:
yah !
believing the unseen says:
hahahahha!!

The real scary thing about the incident was everyone vomitted about the same time, like when it was close to 3.
Eerie.
So anyway, i'm feeling better with much thanks to milk, prayer and God.
I'm off to bships with YZ now.

ZK's Birthday Bash

Today was a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooong day.
Ok i'm talking about wednesday.

Well its two important events happening on the same day.

O's Chinese paper was quite unexpected.
The topics for compo was very, very unexpected.
However manageable.
Hopefully can score.
MUST SCORE

Paper 2 was ok, except one of the compre question was quite scary.

Well after chinese O's went to eat with YZ and Roc but in the end decided not to 'cos there wasn't space.
So went home and rested before going out again.

Went to celebrate Zi Kai's BIRTHDAY!
Planned to go Chong Pang and eat.
Ok compared to the other one where i ate last time i guess Chong Pang the people looked friendlier.
Mostly aunties HAHA
Food was ok. As usual, when there's guys around, its just spam meat.
And Chef Kah Koon made a nice broth of a soup.
Although Chef Harry's one was better haha!
But it is admirable to be able to cook nice soup.

In the midst of eating, i have a general conclusion that guys CAN cam-whore just as much as girls do.
Ivan was going on a spree haha.
I'm not one to cam-whore unless requested haha.
Its rude to turn someone down.

No pictures here though, BUT you can visit Ivan's blog under my links.

Went bowling after that.
Went arcade with KK and i got scammed at the spoilt drum machine.
Bowling was quite fun, we were making a hell' lot of noise there.
Alot of unexpected underdogs got really high scores haha.
To name were: Bryan Tan, Richie.
Bryan had a score of 128 and Richie about 133.
VERY HIGH
I got a 103 which got me satisfied.
Hitting 100 was alr quite hard haha.
We all went home after that. Tiring day haha.
But fun.

A few more hours to O' level Chinese.
If anyone were to ask me how prepared I am, I'd say no.
Well its hard to prepare for a language.

On the other hand, I've never memorised so many proverbs before haha.
Preparation at 70%?

Final preparation now: Prayer.

Intakes and Outs

I've signed up for facebook due to the overwhelming number of requests i've got.
Actually it was just 3 people but i was just curious.

My take:
A place where you can really, really waste a lot of your time on. Not recommended for those already obsessed over friendster.
As noticed, it is not as user-friendly as friendster is but one thing i like about its the amount of security the site emphasises.
Also its not as fake as friendster.
Well not until i discovered jun wen's profile.
If you don't have a online social network account, I'd not recommend facebook.
On the whole, its friendster, with much, much more things to do.

Disclaimer: Loads of functions YET to be discovered.

Service was good on saturday.
Watched about 5 videos, which was really the excess over the quotidian service.
But it really got the vision of an indoor stadium going.

Oh and airport fellowship was real funny.
Jing Zhu Zhe Ci, Jing Mo Zhe Hei.
Haha.
The song game thing was fun.

Mass pangseh'ed leaving only Margt, Calista and me to take bus.

Oh well.

And I've tried to come up with a few phrases on living life.

You don't learn 'till you've tried.

You haven't cared until you've shared.

You can't have faith unless you've believe.

You won't treasure until you've lost.

Well here are several alternative ones:

You don't eat 'till you bite.

You don't scream 'till you dream.

You don't smell unless you're in a well.

You'll stink if you don't drink.

Alright i must get some sleep already.
YZ says we must go LP concert.
I already have one concern: $128!

Rumblings

Ok i know its about 1 am now.
But the blogger urge in me is taking over the possession of my self-control.
Ok at least for 5 minutes.

Was blog hopping since ham went to sleep which was about half an hour ago.
I keep seeing the same thing on my peers blogs: results.
I wouldn't list unless God got the glory from it.
Simple enough?

Blogging is slowly becoming a quotidian aspect in my online life.
I periodically stopped this process before FYEs, but now i guess the flow's picking up again.
More or less, subsequent posts would be rather purblind, so it'll be more of a daily record than an insightful post.

Speaking of which, i haven't done one in a long, long time.
The last one the one i did on facades.
I guess it was really dismayed. Not that good.
I'll attempt another one. Soon.

Ok time to get some rest.
It appears on my msn list that i'm 1 out of the 20 or so that disregards sleep as a necessity in life.

Random Thoughts

Sundays are perfect for lazing around and doing nothing.
Well its also the best day to worship the Lord, especially in the afternoon, when the sky is clear and the clouds drift endlessly from part to part.
Its just gives me a really serene feeling.

Its 9 days away from O' level Chinese exams.
Time is ticking and the world is changing. (This is definitely from a song)

Saturday was another busy day.
Tuition in the morning and Daph called if i could have BS before serving.
In the end, it didn't come to pass.

Did external traffic, expected rain but it was shine all the way.
And i saw Mansfield and Jeffrey.
I was quite shocked, ok surprised.
Haha didn't know that they went CHC.
Well now there's something to look forward to next basketball training.

I thought the message was very good.
Pastor used a lot of analogies which was good.
Analogies help to paint clearer pictures.

Car park external duty after that instead of recycling.
Dusting ants off the tentage, stacking cones up to a metre high in the cage, and "matching pipes".
Haha. Matthew is one funny guy.
And so is Calvin.
Knocked off finally at about 8.30pm.

Some other random things happened during fellowship.
Like Margt's mo qi become mo shui.

Ok i'm off to play more RBO.
Its a nagging thought in my head.

I thought the acoustic version was much, much better.

DANG DANG DANG DANG

Ok got back my results today and I'm really, really, relieved for A maths and Physics.
FINALLY PASSED PHYSICS HALLELUYAH!
55 marks. Not that good but as least its an improvement.
Well still failed overall.

Maths was like, er, can i get A1 or not.
Praise the Lord 'cos i got 77 marks!
Then Mr Lee(the maths teacher) had marked one question wrongly, so additional 1 mark hahaha.
Well i'm relieved because i did quite badly for mock exam.

To note, God is always faithful(:

Tuesday, October 16, 2007

I'm considering red, blue or green for my hair colour next time.
School starts after the holidays and my body clock is all messed up.

RBO is the hots now. TD got quite sian as YZ said.

School is well, one free period after another and we're all trying to out talk each other about gunbound in class.
Well ok "we're" is just Cleon, Shu Yi, Darryn and me.
Occasionally Samuel or Josiah(?_?)

Today in GO was quite er, randomly wrong.
I come in at 7am and no ones inside.
Set up mike and system then go inside GO and read bible awhile.
Later a surprised Ervin came in around 7.15am.
Shan Wei came in and was rather surprised as well, 'cos he was wondering why so little people in school today.
School now starts at 7.45am everyday woohoo!
Then VP has to come with a black face a scold Shan Wei for his hair.

"Why your hair so long? Want me tell discipline comm isit?"

You know just this sentence alone makes me wonder just exactly how much power she really has as a VP.

"You what class?"

And the following logistics go on, name, class, date. OK there was no date involved.

So later Teo comes in and asks for his name tag.
Here's where the randomly wrong part comes.

He turns around and ask me for my name tag as well.
I was OK WTH.
Just sitting there with a hair like a bomb shell attracts instant attention.
Ok the back of my hair was flying.
But all the clay hasn't washed off yet!
Besides I never comb my hair in the morning. Lol

I was just contemplating on the number of things you can do in a minute.
So far i've thought these up:
1) Call someone
2) Do uniform buttons
3) Move from one end of the room to the other to take something.
4) Search for a particular worksheet in my file(This could actually take longer)
5) Create a sms and send it
6) Delete 5 inbox messages from my phone
7) Delete 5 sent items messages from my phone
8) Look at who's online on msn
9) Login to friendster and check for new testimonials
10)Do a particular video search on youtube
11)Bloghop and read the title of the first post available
12)START iTunes
13)Interchange 3 instant messages on msn with another person online
14)Drink a glass of water (Coke's longer)
15)Tie a shoelace
16)Search for a song on multiply
17)Lie somewhere and roll about 4-5 times
18)Pause and think about something
19)Surf 10 channels
20)A WHOLE 5 minutes to look at this whole list

Posting from about 2am and i was feeling tired 2 hours ago.
Ok i seriously think my body clock is screwed.

I have time for friendster now that exams are over!
Haha.

But its seems so much busier that i have to go out more often now.
OK maybe not.
Because i'm chionging gunbound and warcraft everyday now.

Well Friday's potluck was i guess, as Kang Wei said, "Abundance of Food!"
Everyone brought so much food.
And everyone left SO EARLY!
In the end only left like 10 plus people eating food for 20++ people.

Well ok, if you count Jonathan, a hungry Timo, Colby, Kang Wei, a hungry Joy and a "Mountain of Food" Awardee, all the food was still way too much to finish.

"Next time, potluck i'm not bringing anything."

WH, "What?"

"Oh nothing X_X"

Well today i think Pastor preached a good message.
And he messages now or rather, the services are geared towards motivating us for our 'Arise and Build' Campaign, which is well good.
Both he and WH said that the atmosphere today was real different from last week and like everyone was excited and all.

Personally i can't wait for 'Arise and Build' to come.
To give to God, i guess that's the only thing we can contribute other than time.
Well, at least on a practical level.

Its good to do good someone who is good to you.

Well i really hope that we can have a really nice and BIG building in the city areas.
I think we will.

Time will reveal all things.

Ok i really relaxed yet stressed at the same time because of chinese O's.
The momentum for studying is much or less gone by now.
But its really the last lap now.

Guess i must still pia, really relax after this last one.
We must make china department happy and all.
But most importantly,
Thank You God for the strength that You would provide for this last lap.

Some people question my faith and ask me why am I so full of the things of God.
My answer is still:
If you love someone, you'd trust the person and love to do the things he/she wants you to do, because its all for that person.

If you think about in this sense, LOVE is what makes the world go round, not money.

Money just makes people look good.

Encouragement

Ever since i've heard the "Encourager" message on friday, somehow or another i've been getting smses out of the blue encouraging me for my final years.

And the most surprising that its not from my cell group pals.

Well thank you guys! All the best to you too!

Had a talk with Wen Hui on saturday and realised how much i'm lacking in the spirit.
Its time to step up and be consistent!
And from there can I progress to new levels.

You do have to secure your foundation first before you build additional stories right?
If not all you need is just one push and everything will topple and fall.

Aside from that, building's fund coming up and I have a feeling that I definitely have to work this year for it.
Hopefully can find a job during the hols. That'll be nice.

I was just word-hopping at Dictionary/Thesaurus.com when i found something interesting.
The word 'Apostate' means someone who has abandoned his faith; religion or cause.

Another word or phrase if you like, 'doubting Thomas' means someone who is skeptical.
The reason behind the phrase was Saint Thomas, who doubted the revival of Jesus until he had finally seen it with his own true eyes.

So i pose a question today, would you be an Apostle or Apostate of Christ?
Both seem so similar in appearance yet different in meaning.

Ok my phone connection managed to work.
Here's the video, enjoy!
Its kind of short though.

Today had to stay back in school to do duty for sports appreciation night.

During assembly, Jit Hin, Manfred and me started climbing around the partitions in the hall toilets. Well cos we were disturbed by Rao when we were sleeping outside the cubicles.
Mooncake festival programme freaking boring.
Then i decided to go inside one cubicle, lock it, and climb over to another cubicle.
Fun stuff i tell you.
Oh and i got a cut at my elbow.

Ok after that went studio and thanks to Joshua's charger, my handphone battery didn't die.

Well most the time spent before the duty was stoning in the studio and playing soccer outside studio and in front of last supper.
Attained flesh wound number 2: Cut on big toe while kicking around barefooted.

Went out to buy bubble with YZ around 6pm.
Then came back to hall to pass Ervin and others the bubble tea.

Went to find Jun Wen to get back studio ball, then played basketball with NP and NCC people.
Why am i the only non-uniform group person there? Haha
Played till about 7pm, when Roc called.

Roc was in a bad mood today.
Well he lightened up during the duty.
And dam i couldn't take any pictures of the wushu people in air.
I was trying to get the auto-focus and flash working and i guess that partially distracted me from taking several good shots.

After everything, packed up and went bubble tea again with Robin.
Got a packet of bird's nest syrup.

Got home and realised i had some red mark that looked like a cut on my abdomen.
Score! Flesh wound number 3.

Ok actually i had an ever sicker wound that i gained on tuesday while dribbling the basketball for less than 5 minutes.
I'll upload the video of it once my phone connection is working.

Another week closer to EOYs.
I'm going staunch on my blogging campaign right now to concentrate on the task at hand.

Anyway, English oral is a barrier that I can finally put aside.

Calista, Davin and me went Bedok to eat before service.
We had plenty of time after support ended.
Got the giant cup of chin chow again.
And I've received alot of insights about Poly life Haha!

Service yesterday was really reinforcing on ourselves spiritually.
Remembering all the things God has done for us.
I guess that IS important.
Always ying shui si yuan ah. Haha

Oh and we really contributed to global warming after service.
Burnt like 5-7 lanterns haha.

Speech tomorrow.
English oral, and urm i haven't even written a full speech.
Ok well my mentality is that since they're going to give us cue cards anyway, there's no point in completing a full speech.
I mean there's sure to be impromtu right?

Ok EOYs coming very very soon.
Have to work hard for Hist, Geog, Phys, S.S. and Chi.
Revise A.maths, Chem.
Ok i only don't have to study english. Woohoo.

In an effort to increase my vocabulary, i'm visiting dictionary.com everyday to look at the word of the day.

Today's Word of the day:

2. Unfeeling or not showing feeling.

Don't Change Your Circumstances, Change Yourself First

Today I MANAGED to get to duty ON TIME.
Like wow.
First time in like a 2-3 months.
The last time i was early was like before FOP.
So anyway, i learnt to hang the banners outside church.
Life-risking work ok! Haha the first time was scary 'cos had to climb the ladder until like the second highest step.
The subsequent times i didn't feel so afraid anymore.
I guess those abseiling exercises at taman negara really were effective in helping me overcome my fear of heights.

After that was zebra-crossing and it was madly packed during 4.40-5.10 period.
Like there was one wave nearly 300 people crossing at the same time.

Ok service was seriously exceptionally great.
Nick Vujicic sharing his testimony of how God changed his life.
He's born without any limbs but he's managed to touch millions around the world.
Check out his site at lifewithoutlimbs.org.
So anyway his story was really touching, i nearly cried.
And i really gained something from it all.

Ok maybe you'll reading all this and finding it irrelevant to you 'cos it seems that i'm just making my weekly entry about church.
Well if you're reading this here's what i really thought is really the gist of everything:

You can't exercise patience until you've learnt how to wait.

You can't exercise courage until you have become afraid.

If you do take a moment to consider, it is very logical.
I mean you can't show that you're braver than the rest until a situation arises for you to showcase your bravery.
So don't wait for your situations to change, start the change in you today.

Whew! Back from camp and this time i'm without blisters unlike last year haha.
It was good, this year's camp.
In fact, i think every year is good.

Amazing race was kind of gay, in the sense that my team had only 3 people.
Others had 4 or more.
Well we managed to finish 2nd in the end.
With help from Manfred's and YZ's group of course.
Oh and i pang seh'ed my team at the last station at vivo to collect my retainers.
They managed to finish that rather quickly i guess.
Good work!
Xi Jie and Andric are quite street smart.
Thanks to that we didn't get so lost.

NIght walk was a lil' too fast.
Clues sometimes don't make sense.
Well now i think they are actually quite direct.
Compared to amazing race.
Watched Exorcism of Emily Rose before night walk.
Well i must say its a very good movie.
It dealt with the problem of Legalism versus Religion in a rather intellectual way.
Definitely a 5/5 stars rating.
But definitely not for the faint-hearted.
And its geared more towards a religion-based point of view so not all may understand it.

Well this year i feel water bomb's gotten alot more fun.
Manfred got to be the mop.
YZ got jacked by Jit Hin and Paris.
Jun Wen and the pee bomb.
We rammed into exco's base 5 times.
Including the last successful attempt during the free for all.
Oh and there was a manhunt too.
XK manhunt hahaha.
Ok i must admit it was a little mean.

Oh well the rest of the camp after that was movie, Halo and more Halo.
Ok part of it included some funny tp videos.
Cepheus talked to the Exco's on the last day.
I thought it was really a crucial talk in really helping to remind all of us.
Of iMedia.
Of our CCA.
Of our passion.
How once we used to freely exchange insults without hurting the other party.

Well i still hate politics.

But the fact is, we all have to get over ourselves eventually.
Don't let selfishness and self-generated opinion affect and strain relationships with each other.
Its good to view things with an open mind.
Not judging is good too.

Ok on a lighter note, the aluminum foil caught fire at the steamboat place we were eating during Outreach today.
Funny stuff, ok ok its dangerous.
And i came in first in Daytona. Bwahahahhahaha.

Ok time to catch some sleep.

Walking the Narrow Road

Last few days were rather boggling and my body says "I'm tired."

Well but they were pleasant memories all around.

Friday was the pre-teacher's day celebration.
And i thought i was doing some dedication programme, but was cancelled 'cos we couldn't find the jack to XLR (male) input cable.
Dam i just realised we should used the monitor speaker wire plus a converter.
Oh well.

80% of my readers wouldn't be able to understand this mumbo jumbo anyway haha.
OK i might be wrong.

So pre-teacher's day was aye ok.
Plain-sailing but not exceptional.
Hall programme i would say, intresting at least.
Band performances are always intresting to listen to.

SJAB band was rather weird with side performances and marching, music satisfactory?

Bobo's band was a lil' down standard. Cos of amps i suppose. Bobo got some mini yamaha amp while he's playing lead. Lol.

Shaun Paul's band was IMO the best out of the lot. Decent.

So after settling some logistics in the studio, went back to ATS.
Very bad turnout i guess.
Hardly anyone.
So we visited Mdm Cheng.
Us = Ryan, Ke Jing, Aden, Ky, KG, WJ and me lor.
Not lor mee.

Ok i guess most of the time we were stoning around and talking.
Rubix is some hardcore trend spreading to hell' lot of schools.

Left ATS around 1.40pm.
So later walked out with Ky and KG.
Went to find Angus, no one at home.

Walked together and KG went home.
Ky and me continued walking and took a bus at the golf course bus-stop.
He went home while i went back to school.

Soccer outside studio while interview going on. O.O
Left school and went to eat.
Talked about alot of things.
Mainly about interview and camp. Argh politics.
Went home to change for CG.

Well for once i wasn't late.

Saturday - Happy Teacher's Day!

Message was really good.
Walking on the narrow path, there are few.
Well it really redefined the meaning of a true believer for me.
And I'm making my mark to be one.

After service fellowship was kinda rushy.
I had to chiong my ban mian 'cos everyone was leaving kind of early.
Cos Ivan, Davin, Desiree and me went to buy bubble tea for the rest.
Nearly ten cups and the waiting time is super long.

Jonathan and Me spoiled a N112 picture!
HAHAHA

Sunday - Finale on SOTM and SOT Graduation Service
Last message on SOTM.
I guess it pretty much sums up everything.
It was very short.
But sufficient and effective in wrapping up the whole chapter.
Well today marks the start of the different me.
Or rather the changing me.

Jamming tomorrow.
Somehow i feel a lil' tired.
My flesh says "No."

Does my spirit ever listen to my flesh?
"No."

Happy Teacher's Day

Today was quite short.
Lessons-wise, its the last day of school!

All the funny stuff happens after school.
In the studio, nothing much going on 'cos about half the people in the hall doing teacher's day rehearsal.

Went to mac lab for general meeting.
Listening to songs through my ipod on the mac WHEN Lin De had to accidently pull my ipod wire instead of the keyboard wire.

*Pause*

Ok this time i really lost my cool and sweared.
ALL MY iPOD SONGS WERE GONE

"Lin De WTF did you just do!?"

Ok i managed to get over it somehow when the fact that it was still usable even after that little episode relieved me.
Warranty expiry date: 1/8/07

Well all i can say is PRAISE GOD!

Later Manfred wanted to use remote desktop to check what the juniors were doing.
When we couldn't crack the code, Ervin came and typed it.
Ok so later he closed it.
Then i tried without blinking or thinking.

*Pause*

*WT....*
Ok somehow i managed to crack it.
And we were all laughing 'cos it was like some sudden shock.

Manfred and Lin De were desperate to know the password from me.
Ervin just LOL'ed.

Tomorrow is going to be a full day of celebrations i guess.

And i'm going to be REALLY busy tomorrow.

First have to reach school early setup in GO.
Doing dedications for teachers O.O
Songs all from my library muwahahha.
Ok no metal and techno allowed.

So i just hope i'll be able to do a good job.
No script, no pre-recording.
Oh well, as Andrew would have said, "Aiya I'm doing impromtu!"

Blind Typing

Ok i'm typing this whole post while not looking at anything. Soif it screws up it ain't my fault!
But of course even if it is perfect, you couldn't tell a diff anyway.
Yz and I have just invented a few ways to train to be an accountant/clerk/typist.
This is definitely hot stuff to train.

Also typing skrawkcab is another gay thing to do.
Try to decipher haha!
Hmmmm....

Ok that's about.

Oh yeah, there's nothing new.
I'm being sacrastic. Haha.

Faith?

God, I need some self-discipline in my life.
Its 3 weeks to Final-Years and my revision well?
Its not even up and going yet.

The pace the others are building scares me.
6 A1s, 5 A1s, 4 A1s.
I wouldn't say envy, admiralty would be a better word.

Frankly i've had second thoughts about my life as a Christian.
Is it all worth it when in the end everyone still wounds up getting MUCH better results.

A lil' more reasoning would come to the conclusion that I need to spend the rest of my time outside church activities STUDYING.
With this i guess it makes much more sense.

Its about time to get up and put that gear to full throttle.
There's not much time left.
But in God I trust. Still.
Mrs Tan PMS'ing. Guess she really can't stand people who hand up HW late.
Ed Yong chionging temperature.

Speaking of temperature. Somehow or another, with the sudden arrival of two special guests in our school has the temperature going up even if it was freezing in the morning.
Manfred dosen't need alcohol to get high in the morning now.
Yeo PP's niece and one brit blonde in 3-8.
Somehow there's many passerbys around that class today.
HAHA

Arctic Monkeys are chillin' good.
Today went to buy bamboo poles for camp.

Air refresher too lol.
Dribbled in tracking room with socca' ball.
Ervin hum then ask us go outside.
Lol.
Tried the milk trick again.
All we got were 2 packets of yogurt.
Oh well.
Better fix that before camp.

That's about a week away.

Song of the Day: Old Yellow Bricks - Arctic Monkeys

Sunday, August 26, 2007

Its been a week since i've blogged hahaha.
Somehow i just can't get down with the time to blog.
Maybe i just miss it sometimes haha.
Thanks to avid readers like Peck Hui[Honourable mention siah lah] who keep my blog alive while i'm away haha.

Had 2 bowls of laksa on satuday.
Actually it was one and a half.
Katong laksa seh! Don't play play!
Shioking sia with two spoons of chilli sauce.
It was more than that thanks to Colby and Davin.
But it wasn't hot, seriously.
ITS SHIOK

And as Davin missed the cockroach with his stamping feet, i back-swept it towards Bao Juan and Joan.
I was rewarded with a pair of shrill screams.
Slammed a hi-five with Harvee in the air.

Today was flag day.
Or supposedly it was.
I reached C.K. Tangs 1 hour later than scheduled.
So went to meet Darryn and we went to collect money until about 1pm.
I must say today's crowd wasn't that appeasing compared to the crowd last saturday.
Many people were unwilling to give.
However, those that did, gave rather generously.

So went to Cineleisure to eat.
Met Sunny, Ala, Kai Sheng, John and Leonard there.
Met up with Perry, Shawn, Box, Khee Ern, Gideon, Darren, Sei Yee and decided to go Suntec for a movie.
Well i thought there was a GV there.
So we took the train.
While walking up to the bridge to Suntec, Jun Hui joined us.
Khee Ern and me were walking faster than the rest.
So we were walking near to the end of the exhibition tower when we realized no one was behind us!
Oh and we were playing a game along the way, naming shops as we walked.

We reached the cinema.
And to our sheer amazement, it wasn't GV, it was Eng Wah.
Ok i admit i have a bad memory.
So we sat around and finally decided to watch License to Wed.

I must say its really a good movie.
Robin Williams proved yet again that his antics were more than enough to get the crowd laughing.
And that little boy kind of cute in a humourous way.
Minister-in-training haha!
Its one real romance comedy that does really make you think twice about getting into a relationship.
Plot-wise, it isn't really that good, honestly.
Theme-wise, it was great.
I liked the Jamacian and JC joke the best!

Rating?
I would say: 4/5 stars.

So then we chionged off to return the cans and went to eat at Taco Bell at Shaws.
Darren, Gideon and Sei Yee went off first.
So left Perry, Darryn, Khee Ern, Box, Shawn and me.
And we were talking about Grad Night, past, present, future.
Also a whole lot of other bullshit.
And Perry is now obsessed with wanting to watch Hairspray.
Through this flag day somehow i've finally managed to find a bond with my 3-4 mates.
Yep, it was a fruitful expedition.

So now might be planning for a shooting outing with the artsy people in the cell group as suggested by Jonathan.
Maybe during the hols, and definitely after Chinese O's.
And i realised one thing about the importance of framing your videos and pictures while looking at the mirror while in the bathroom.

Don't force to people to see what they can't see. Make them see what they thought they couldn't see.

300TH POST

Whew! Its my 300th post already!
Time really flies when you have a blog haha.

On another note i've haven't watched 300 yet thought i have the movie already.

Ok so anyway i just did this quiz from a link at Xing Yu's blog.
Interesting stuff but sadly i think its very hard to tell if its correct.
Anyway her goes:

YOUR REPORT CARD:
CategoryGrade
LoveC
Friends and FamilyA+
BodyB
MindA+
Finance / CareerB
Your Life's Average Grade: A
'What is your Life Grade?' at QuizGalaxy.com

Yep and i must reiterate that its not ACCURATE.

Went for service on sat AND sun.
Haha love Joyce Meyer.
She's really, really good.

I mean her messages are personal, yet touching and able to reach out to many people at the same time.
It gives people the feeling that they can somehow be in her shoes.
I think that's 'cos her analogies are pretty good.
Her statements as well.

If there's two things i've learnt its:
1) Live in today! Don't waste 'today' by worrying about tomorrow.
2) A good measure of Love is how you treat people that are not important to you

Yep and cg bbq on friday was mad!
The fire is very very very hot.
One whole box of fire starters was used!
That was maddening! Really huge bonfire was started instead of some lukewarm bbq fire. Check out the dancing flames:

Haha that was one hell of a bbq.
And i must take off specs to take pictures!
Reflective index of my glasses causes internal reflection back to the camera thus my eyes become much like an Angel's.
Pure light. LOL.

Resolved the friendster bug already.
"Saviour of the soul" huh.
I guess in a way its much better if half the world spent lesser time on friendster and more time on more fruitful things instead.
Somehow i didn't feel total hatred for this person who created this bug.
Frankly i was just real irritated.

Benny and Jun Yong came back to school today.
Haha for some reason Benny was able to unite the 2-5 people at one table with his grand entrance.
I think he's matured in his thoughts much more than before, in that sense its good but i pray that he won't go down the wrong path again.

Well as for Jun Yong haven't seen him much since this morning.
Still giving me the looks everytime he sees me.
Well I don't blame him, not anyone at all.
Its been quite some time since then.
I'd never quite forget that incident, but i've decided to let it go.
I don't know how you feel but i guess a relationship won't work unless both parties agree to it.
How i'd wish it were like the past.
But no, All i can say is, are you willing to start over?

Played soccer outside studio and Joshua made a personal statement with the exit sign.
Now its dangling in mid air with one of its poles de-attached from it.

Today tilt the machine again and 6 bottles of choco milk haha.
Gotta stop that.

ZzzZzz

I passed NAPFA with two hours of sleep!
Praise God!

I think i'm becoming a coffee addict.

Watched Shaun of the Dead in the studio today.
One hilarious movie.

I think i'm out of brain juice to blog about anything else.

Oh yeah during today's presentation WHICH I SLAVED THROUGHOUT the ENTIRE MORNING, well we didn't finish it in time haha.

Song of the Day: Slide - Goo Goo Dolls

881

Ok short post 'cos its about 3.45am in the morning.
Finished physics project around 3.20am.

Just had to make a short note in my blog haha.

881 was great. Caught it last friday.
Royston Tan had some great framing techniques.
I especially liked the framing technique he used where the guy went to sell his chicken.
I thought that part was kind of touching.

Overall i would say it is a VERY GOOD LOCAL film.
And the theme is well built in a very singaporean way.
Imagine the look on my face when i saw old people in the cinema getting up to leave after the movie ended!
Haha no i wasn't that surprised actually.

The movie release is just right, a week before the real seventh lunar month.(About there lah.)
There are sure alot of great films to catch this month but i would strongly recommend 881 as one of the MUST-CATCH movies.

Verdict? 5 out of 5 stars.

Some little extracts from my audio sensory device.

"You're Virgo?"
"No Libra, that's why I always say the correct thing!"

Haha that's true.

"You don't have the Poly face, I think you have the JC face. People also say i have the JC face."
"Oh. But can have the JC face but got the Poly heart."
"Sure anot? Poly people don't wash their hands before they eat."

"You'll don't know what is happening don't judge ok. Just like how you don't judge Sun."
"What has Sun got to do with all this?"

"Aye auntie, wo yao transfer cell group liao."
"Really ah. Why? Lao le ah."

"The cowboy ah i thought is wave the flag and shout 'wooowoooowooo' but then ah its *Chicok chicok chicok Piang! Piang! Piang!* "

"Then you kage bunshin lah."
"Huh what kage bunshin?"
*Laughs*

Happy Birthday Singapore!

Wow our nation's already 42 years old!
Haha I'm at least older than a quarter of her already.
About one-third haha.

Went out to celebrate my grandma's birthday today.
Had some vegetarian food at thompson area, sin ming there.
Long time since i've seen all my cousins(mother's side) gathered as one again.

And went out shopping later and bought a new pair of shoes.
Yay!
Wanted to use the shopping vouchers my ex-cell group gave me for my birthday haha.
Would have gotten 2 new pairs if not for the latter, which didn't have an approriate size for me because it was out of stock for that size.
Anyway still happy :D

National Day Celebration

I didn't really feel like posting haha.
Just felt very tired and everything in this past week.

Today's national day celebration was quite short(:
Marching by UGs.
Wushu performance.
Modern Dancers dancing.
CHMA Finalists singing.
And ICE CREAM!

Went Darryn house after that, but surprisingly never pool'ed lol.

Punk rock week with Busted and Blink-182 mass spamming on my playlist.

Its like some time since i've heard Busted's album A Present For Everyone.

I'm not going to be Hua Peng and post videos on my blog, no offence haha.

But my blog can't really view a copied youtube video with right dimensions anyway.
But if you have time, and you really dig FallOut Boy, McFly, Sum 41 or (for some reason)Simple Plan, Busted and Blink-182 are two additional bands to add to your punk rock library collection.

Post 292

My library increased from 146x to 1503 now.
Haha.

Today was quite a bad/good day.
My physics remastery got 11 again, same as my common test.
Well at least thank God that it wasn't any lower.

Didn't manage to pass SBJ again.
ARRGH i jumped over 200+ then GKY not there to see.
LOL

Had NDP rehearsal in gym.
Pumping iron sia haha.
Ervin, Jit and Manfred halfway went to play soccer lol.
And blasted speakers causes big probelms.

Relaxing this week.
Yet ironically its piled up with many things to do.

Tomorrow have to do chinese remastery, zhao home change then go band concert.
Wed national day and 2-5 tepanyaki.
Thurs CG and grandma birthday.
Fri CG outing.

Current mood? @_@

Some cool stuff to find out morea bout yourself, well if you really need it that is.
Here goes!

http://noracom.net/eng/fortune/color_cheki1.php

So i tried it and here's the list for my personality. I wonder if it could be identified by you? Haha

You are Blue Tiger, whose ways of talking is very noble and have a rock-steady stance.
This may make other people feel you are a difficult person to get to know.
But you can make peaceful personal relationships with anyone, and are a person of good balance.
You associate people with broad mind.
But at the same time, you are making your own judgment on personal criticism.
You are very diplomatic person.
You don't notice nicety in people, and tend to reason personal relationships with theory.
You don't fear having relationships with others, and can have relationship with anyone.
You are a very popular person.
But you sometimes worry about whether a person you are going out with is really in love with you.
You can plan things with extreme preciseness, and can act as planned by looking ahead of the times.
Though, you sometimes feel you want to be more adventurous.
You think positively on everything.
You don't get things down on you.
And even if you do get down, you can recover from that situation fast.
You are very fair.
You can be an ideal boss.
You would be endeared by those who are strong-minded.

Post 290

I've been noticing how i always fail to post from mid-week onwards.

Another busy week passes by.
Ok this week was quite slack, i was slacking a lot for the most of this week.

Gan Qing Gu Xiang on friday was quite boring but i thought the english drama was good.

And Happy Birthday to Kah Koon(4/8/07)!

Sat went for Festival Of Praise at Singapore Indoor Stadium.
The best ever!
The whole mood and setting was just great.
Managed to catch the LAST SHUTTLE BUS, TRAIN and PUBLIC BUS on the way home.

Haha Thank God for that.
Managed to catch the last train with Kah Koon, Ivan, Tawan and Clement on Friday as well.

Well, heck sure it couldn't have been coincidence.

There's school tomorrow but its going to be a fantastic week with all the holidays lining up.
Finally, time to catch up on my sleep.

On a personal note, someone tell me what love is.

Happy Birthday to Marcus,
You're finally 11 now.

Today's assembly was damn own.
The musicians were really good.

Wrecking havoc in studio again.
Left around 4.40 with Manfred.
He was going tuition and i was going BS at Plaza Sing.

Came home and went to AMK hub with my family to celebrate my brother's birthday.
Fish & Co.
Yummy stuff and fills easily 'cos of the butter, cheese and fried skin that my new york fish & chips had.
Not cheap though.

The Key Story

Praise God today for giving me guidance today to FIND the STUDIO KEY in the 'jungle'.
"Jungle" was coined by Ming Xuan.
So anyway how did i end up searching for the damn key in the first place?

A quiet afternoon was eminent on the fifth floor of cat high. Quite a rare sight to behold given this period of time in the afternoon.
Strolling past one empty classroom after another, I stopped short in front of class 3-8, noticing that it was Mr 'Ting' not Mr 'Teng' who was relieving the class as i originally thought.
As i walked towards the far end, Micheal gave me the sign. I removed the thought producing a similar action from my mind, and took out my favorite past-time handheld console and clicked it into action.
I was over absorbed into it when Michael beckoned me 3 times, i failed to notice him. Desperate, he threw the key, attempting to land it on the floor.
The key did a double somersault as it bounced from the floor, narrowly passed through a slit on the cold, hard stone parapet, and sailed 2 metres into the air, and fell practically a long way down to the 1st story.
This was followed by a certain number of blank stares, vulgarities and mouths which hung soundlessly agape.

After a fifteen minute search, i finally found the key.
Under the leaf of a plant, tricky.
Oh well its times like this that make life all the more interesting to live for.

Sunday, July 29, 2007

Its been some time since i've blogged.
Thanks to all my Faithful readers, some of you tag and some of you don't but still thanks for helping to keep it alive over this past week haha.

But now common tests are over!
YAY!
Still have final years but stow that thought away for a moment.
Taking a short break before really chionging studies.
I'm going to make it to the physics billboard ok.

I forgot the purpose of this entry already, so i'll just use it to make a record of the things that happen the last few days.

Wednesday recess was really memorable cos we snatched woon ngiap's phone.
Then once when he tried to snatch from linde, he threw to me and my catch like slipped and it bounced once...............twice..........................thrice in the AIR then LANDED on one of the cushions of chairs at the student lounge.

THANK GOD IT DIDN'T DROP ONTO THE FLOOR.

Just in case you were wondering which phone model was it:
N73 music ed.

Jit and me spilled manfred's anything onto the gym's bench while playing with one of those giant relax balls.
Taupok-ed Manfred five times later in studios.
Pillow frisbee nearly ended up in the destruction of the only mood light stand in the studio.
And now frenster is some search site for eye-candy.

Sat service was very very good.
I got delivered! Yes.

Okay going to hardcore FFT next few days 'cos i feel like restarting my account. Going to trade some stuff to Mooris's account tomorrow.

TEST WEEK

Common test week so little to talk about.

JK and YZ were looking all over for a damned ping pong ball in the studio and gave up 5 minutes later.
At around 4.45pm John picked up a white ping pong ball from underneath the sofa.

CONCLUSION: Studio needs a real tidying up.

SS and CHEM tomorrow.
And i thought Mole wasn't going to be tested.
Only 2 hours left. Praise God.

Friday, July 20, 2007

Some random jokes YZ and me invented while chatting.

Q: Why can't you drive a white car to school?
A: 'Cos you bai car.

Q: Why is buying a BMW like buying a two-seater?
A: Boh Meng Weah

Q: Why did the Jap call his car?
A: "Ni-SAN!"

Q: Which car makes the loudest sound?
A: Horn-DA

Q: Which car did the bookie buy?
A: Mercedes BenZ

"Potter?"

Today was very very slack. Basically had no lessons at all.
Shan Wei, Jit Hin and me were doing assembly duty.
So left class at 10.50am, the only other time i went back was to grab my bag to go j8.

Well its almost a year since the Goblet of Fire came out and i thought it was the best among the Harry Potter series of movies.
Just caught the Order of the Phoenix today with teh cell group peoplez.

The aircon was cold. Brrr.
But Darryn and me made the cinema our home haha!
Kiao ka like no one's business.
Joy's contact dropped out while into the first hour of the movie!

The movie was overall great, but i felt it lacked something.
Effects were much better this time, almost comparable to spiderman 3.
The only thing i felt that was not really good was the scene they took when Harry and the Order of the Phoenix people where they flew past the buildings in London and all, I felt the scene wasn't used as much as it should have been.

Rating? 4 out of 5 stars.

Additional 1 star for Evanna Lynch. :D

Short Insights

Remade my frenster profile.
Noticed the new firefox has auto spell checker which is good.

Still alot to learn about being acupoint.
I think i'm either too slack or assume too much.
Oh well but its a helluva better than that time when i had to do zone AND acupoint.

Made some new friends and knew some better.
Yeah i think that part on my goal card is fufilled.
Gotta work on the others still, be a good finisher (:

Interesting things during fellowship today.
My packet of food can fly.
Melvin(another member) killing ants. LOL.
Skeenies.

Oh well i think i'll go sleep.
Suddenly everywhere there's angels.
Wilbur releases an album called City Of Angels.
Goo Goo Dolls did that long ago.
Rainmaker has that same phrase.
Jessica Simpson's rendition of Angels was great.

There must be something God's trying to tell me but i don't know what. Yet.

Today was slack.
Prefect investiture cuts away chem period wahaha.
Then jamming at studio.
Seriously YZ should be my guitarist HAHA.
I can't keep up with Michael.

Went to find timo, kimberly they'll at library.
Later Joy came.
Lol i was playing guitar haha.
Lucky its electric.

Suddenly i have the urge to get hold of a giant flamethrower and burn the world.

I think people who are nonsensical can be rather creative in a way.
Especially people who bullshit till there's no one else that can be just like them.
I mean you'd think that whatever that comes out from their mouth is all nonsense but if you look at it in a way, sometimes it takes some creativity to twist it into another perspective to direct at whoever's listening.
Especially if it is to attract attention.

Looking for bassists!

Can someone get me a drumset pretty please?

CHMA Trivial

Some TRUE bits of CHMA trivia:

7 months of hard work.
7 weeks of rehearsals after the auditions.
7'teen hours non-stop work on the day itself
7'teen songs including Mark's performance.
7.7.07
7.35pm (Delay mah)

7 Nation Army

One iMedia.

After this year's CHMA, i've felt all the work put into it is really worth the effort.
So aside from the many jokes, the iMedia crew have once again stepped up another plate.
Video Crew, Audio Crew, Lighting Crew, Stage Design Crew, Photog Crew(Zhong Wei one man show) and the Stage Crew.
Nothing would be possible without everyone's effort.
Anyway i won't be commenting on the show 'cos i really can't see anything from back stage. At least not from the audience's point of view that is.
But you still can always get the DVD (:

Many thanks to all who made this year's CHMA possible.

CHINESE ORAL

In about 14 hours i'll be getting ready to take my chinese oral.
Oh yah must remember to bring all the verification shits.

I've been on a vulgar spree lately.
I think 'cos its near CHMA.
But seriously should cut down on it.

I've found another 5 ways to piss people off. Here goes the list:

1) Take freaking long to get down to the studio when you're the only one with the key.
2) Make one of John's drumsticks seem like its missing.
3) Talk about LHB in front of SLC.
4) Play the two drum sets simultaneously while everyone's talking in the tracking room.
5) Play Seven Nation Army whenever you have the chance.

CHMA!

CHMA is dawning in about 4 days time!
CHINESE ORAL IS IN 2 DAYS!!!

Die liao.

Rehearsals today dam own.
The whole crew was pawning the whole show.
No major screw-ups.
No LAST-MINUTE TECH RUN SOMEMORE.

All the contestants were pretty good.
Shao xian abit off key.
Qi Ren still can't reach high notes.

Bands were ok.
Tony's band improved.
BoBo's band was pretty good, Franz Ferdinadzzzzzz.
Brian Wong's band wasn't up to standard today. Think 'cos of the pedal boards.

Then later got guest performance.
PIJ OWNS
Ming Xuan on steroids.
Feng Heng on drugs.
Lead singer cannot be seen.
LOL

Did this just for fun, should ring a bell for magic fans:

Suddenly i find life very much like a hurricane.
Plucking you off your roots and then you revolve round and round waiting to be released only to find yourself right in the middle of nowhere.

One miserable misguided soul plunged into a sea of uncertainty.

Is material gains and social status what we're really after all our lives?

Even so, no one will still then be contented.

So anyway went to Darryn house to do the passion portfolio video.
Haha had fun.
Played pool too.
And abit of maple. Now 50%.

Learning guitar.
Its much harder than drums.
Drums in school, guitar at home.

Today is officially Muse day!

Margt sent me Blackholes And Revealations the full album.

YZ wanted SuperMassive BlackHole.

My cousin sends me another 3 Muse songs.

ipod has Muse on playback.

I think i'm addicted.

B Blues

I think i've got a case of the B Blues cos suddenly i'm missing great bands like Blink 182 and Busted.

Listening to Muse after Margt sent me the album Blackholes and Revelations
Thanks Margt!

So went for tuition, surprised to see Nicole there haha.
She said half her face was sunburnt, but i couldn't see 'cos of her fringe.
I guess that's why the fringe is there too lol.
But her new tan is nice.

Going Eng tuition soon.

The Secret?

Ok today had tech run and i overslept again 'cos i didn't want to wake up to the alarm.
SO anyway when i've reached, Ervin was later.
YES I'M EARLY

Manfred was showing Henry the secret lol.
Its on youtube for you guys out there who don't know what it is.
I'm not that nice to give you the link either. :P

Then went to jam the drums awhile before Ervin came.
When he did, we had to move a ton of stuff to the hall.

I carried Smarvo amp while Manfred and Ervin carried Peavey amp and i overtook them lol.

Basketballers using hall.
Setup equipment just about 10.30am.
Then don't know why waited so long before the bands started their rehearsal.

Rehearsal finally started around 11am.
Bryan Wong's band was not bad, except for their ending, which was a little weak haha.
Bo Xian's band er, wasn't so good.

Later we closed curtains and walked to j8 to eat.
Then Michael, Manfred, Ervin, Shan Wei pangseh us go foodcourt.
So Henry, Hua Peng, Jerold, Donovan, Yin Zheng and me went Long John.

Long John was having this promotion on the shrimp+chicken combo and if you upsize the drink you get scratchcards that could win prizes.
So i ordered the meal but didn't want the upsize cos i wanted to buy MILO PACKET from bishan market.
So Henry, YZ and me ate the meal and only YZ got upsize x2 to large drink so got 2 scratch cards.

Then later YZ like trying to act out The Secret and said, "Ah this one ipod nano 4GB."

*Scratch*

*Scratch*

*Scratch*

*Scratch*

*Scratch*

*Scratch*

*Scratch*

*Scratch*

*Scratch*

*Scratch*

*Scratch*

"WTFF IPOD SHUFFLE 1GB WTFF!!!!" - Me

The second card was "Thank you for playing."

Everyone at the table was kind of shocked.
I mean seriously what were the chances haha?

Everyone started talking about it haha.
Jerold and Henry were whining about how they could've won the shuffle instead if they had upsized their drink instead.
Jerold thought that the serial numbers were in sequence but they weren't.
Then they started talking about The Secret again lol.

Later when we finished eating, Henry said he was super thristy after glancing at his empty drink and said,

"I should have UPSIZED my drink."

I just LOL'ed.
In fact everyone did.

Later when we went back hall, after buying bubble tea and i finished my milo packet.
Michael just didn't believe YZ won lol.

Later did tech run and our 30 second clear-up was more than screwed.

Moved everything back to studio.
Manfred seemed quite pissed 'cos everyone was slacking around while he was the only one clearing up.
Oh yah and i think he had tuition close to four or five.
So i finally stopped talking and helped him.
And managed to get the others too, Ervin had already made several trips back and forth.
