Homework

Homework are favours from your teachers.
Completing your homework is doing your teacher a favour.

Such is the glory of perception.

2. An ornamental headband worn (as by Eastern monarchs) as a badge of royalty.
3. Regal power; sovereignty; empire; -- considered as symbolized by the crown.

Post CHMA

CHMA CHMA CHMA
I think most of us are feeling it now, the post CHMA blues.
Well it happens every year.
I think we should have a CHMA week.
There's a bilingual festival that stretches the whole week, a CH arts week.
But no CHMA week.
I think the whole week should be dedicated to a whole week of morning band performances, shout outs and a full 'radio' programme after school.
Oh well.

At least i can finally watch the concert.
Haha

And to ALL contestants and crew, pictures can be found at flickr.

Majoring on the Minor

Something i found on Zi Kai's blog, interesting.

WHAT MAJOR IS RIGHT FOR YOU?
created with QuizFarm.com
You scored as Education/Counseling

You should strongly consider majoring in Education, such as early childhood education, middle childhood education, secondary education, or related majors (e.g., Vocational Education, Special Education, P.E./Physical Education).

It is possible that the best major for you is your 2nd, 3rd, or even 5th listed category, so be sure to consider ALL majors in your OTHER high scoring categories (below). You may score high in a category you didnt think you would--it is possible that a great major for you is something you once dismissed as not for you. The right major for you will be something 1) you love and enjoy and 2) are really great at it.

Consider adding a minor or double majoring to make yourself standout and to combine your interests. Psychology is a great minor for education majors. Please post your results in your myspace/blog/journal.

After reading the book "The Five People You Meet in Heaven", I can be reassured of one thing, God works through people not methods.

Its a beautiful book that I managed to complete in about 2 and a half hours.

Highly recommended, take it from me(:
David Cook is amazing.
He sounds almost the same recorded and live.
These are the type of artistes i love.

Anyway i was checking up the definition of hooks and totally LOL'ed at this:

12. Music.

b. an appealing melodic phrase, orchestral ornament, refrain, etc., often important to a popular song's commercial success.

Looking Beyond

For those interested in Mass Comm and are thinking of going into Poly, here's an alternative offered by VJC: http://www.vjc.moe.edu.sg/academics/dept/english/tsd/faqs.php

I was just thinking, how amazing it is some people go through life without realising the vast amount of information available to them that spirals a tornado of opportunities.

If they ever realised how much it would be a help to them, i think the world would be brimming with much, much more intellectual individuals.

Reconstruction, restoration and recreation of this broken world would then be not just the empowered vision of a few collected individuals but an equally shared burden by, optimistically, everyone.

Maybe life is more than just a bowl of laksa; a plate of char kway tiao; a cup of chin chow.

More than just gigs; performances and great music.

More than just textbooks; scholarships; degrees, diplomas and doctorates.

More than just social networks, friends and families.

More than just serving, ministry and soul-winning.

I guess in everything you do, you got to have a higher purpose because if you don't, you'll be tired of whatever you're doing and eventually with life itself.
A calamitous cumulation.

John 10:10
"I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."

Rom 8:28
"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."

What is your purpose today?

Faith

"I do not seek to understand that I may believe, but I believe that I may understand: for this I also believe, that unless I believe I will not understand."
- Anselm of Canterbury
What are doing from sunday to thursday that's glorifying Christ?

Melodrama

The most tragic need for us to lose is the need to think.
