Sleepy

Its like as if I've transformed into a insoniamanic bat that sleeps on 4-5 hours a day.

My most productive hours occur from 12am - 2am.
I mean all my friends are online at this time of the day too.

Oh wow!

Holidays please come soon.

A Long and Melancholic Night

What else is there to say, when all is tinted in white;
Words hidden from the senses, of hearing or of sight;
There used to be one joyous soul, but now only one is left;
Feeling lonely and empty, on this long and melancholic night.

The Leveler Across All Fields

I've come to realize that one of the reasons I love Dance so much is because it's a leveler across all fields.

It doesn't matter if you're rich or poor, educated or uneducated, male or female, boy or girl, tall or short, skinny or fat, young or old, you still can choose to dance.

While there are some that say you have to have a really fit body to do so, I believe its only true, if you decide to be a really, really outstanding dancer.

If not, dance is still for everyone!

Just look at how tribal societies and hunting parties celebrate a feast or a hunt with singing, laughter and social dancing.

Dance was an expression of joy, no matter what form it took.

Watching Robin Hood and Centurion a lil' while back made me realize how social dancing has actually evolved from merry little gatherings in taverns to the flashing lights and ear-popping music we have now in clubs.

Only sadly in clubs, I highly doubt some of the people who dance do it for celebratory purposes.

That being said and done, dance has also become a tool or a weapon for people to break free of their situations.
Just look at the bboys from the Philippines and Cambodia, I'm sure they all have their own story to tell.

I just have a hope and a vision that dancing will continue to retain its purest form in the time to come, that it shall always be an expression of joy, a measure for hope, and a lead, into the future.

Kpop Dances

Ok I'm was still a little grumpy about my test song and choreography for this week's exam until a lil while ago.

The song? Oh it's SHINee's Lucifer. To those that don't already know, I was never a fan of Kpop dance groups.

While whining helps to ease off some frustrating sentiments, that's all it'll be good at. I believe during the train ride while I was mugging the dance version video of Lucifer, my good friend, HS, told me that I should embrace the cultural mandate.

And I thought, yeah, I should huh. After all, the point of developing my talents is so that I can be more relatable to the people around me.

It's true that sometimes how artists can become so stubborn and insistent on their preferred art form that they fail to see how they have become irrelevant or eccentric to the society around them.

I guess this exam is going to stretch me in more ways than one.
