Chalet and End of Holidays

Sian holidays going to end soon.
I haven't touched any work yet haha.

Going for iMedia chalet now so anything cor mi or msg me.

Today went for my 3-weekly check-up for braces. Today first day.
And my mum forgot that its actually tomorrow haha.
Luckily the dentist got nothing on then can do my check-up.
Haha heng diao.
Then my bro go take the three cow toy then i go stack them up

Met terence in the mrt.

Then went amk and i thought we were going home then went to amk mall.
Its super huge.
Fairprice xtra was open liao.
Seriously dam extra the mall haven't open they open liao.

Then the main way to the hypermarket was congested; with people.
ITS DAM CROWDED FOR GOODNESS SAKE.

Seriously lah never seen before so many people at amk before.
The place is small when compared to carefour or giant.
But its dam big compared to any other ntuc.

Then went to eat at macs and my right jaw hurt so can only use left jaw eat.

Then saw robin, moky and zikai walk in macs.
After i ate finish i went over and chat with them.
They were going vivo to watch deathnote and robin booked the tickets.
Mok's dam quiet and DIDN'T talk at all lah.

After they left, Mr Wang and the iMedia people came to macs.
I was like "why today see so many people i know arh?"
Abit too many coincedence right?

So it appears they wanted to go fairprice to buy the bbq food but as ervin said, "We walk in the entrance, then walk out liao."
Haha.

Ok go find spare adapter and play cards then need zhao liao.

Its Christmas Day

Well nearly started with near disaster when we were almost late for morning service today.
By the grace of God managed to make it in time AND still have seats.
Mighty thanks to sam who managed to guard our seats.

All i can say for Christmas is WOW.

Today the play was abit screwed cos the mics kind of screwed up but in the end they still did a good job in the sense that they rectified the probelm almost immediately and without notice.

Timo and me became guard dogs in the afternoon while nathan, sam, yao hui and their friends went to ride the sky-dance.
I rode it on the day before so i said i'd help them guard.

Then we went marina sqaure where yao hui bought sam her christmas gift :D haha.
And went to food court to sit down and talk and where nathan wanted to be emo.
Hahaha.

Marina square food court is a nice place to take pictures.

So anyway we left food court and made our individual way home.

Haha and i got 59 Christmas blessings. Thanks guys. =D

Perspective

I've just been hooked on TV. Haha.

Here's a picture:

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Notice anything about the circle?

Most probably you whould notice the striking line in the middle above all else.
You wouldn't notice that the circle is perfectly round in shape.

That's what i'm talking about.
People don't usually see the good side of things and instead most of the time, look on the unpleasant side of things. They never realise the good side of it, or rather, choose sometimes not to recognise it.

Do choose to look at things from a different perspective. Learn to be empathic.

Tired?

Tired? Maybe not.
Bored yes.
Yes

I just realised its 2 weeks till school re-opens.
NO. THAT SUCKS.

I've haven't touched any work. I probably won't anyway.
Hmm staying at home thes few days.

Awaiting christmas. 5 days.
Ron asked me to go last-minute christmas shopping with him haha.

Mapling.
Cos i'm dam bored.
Delphi lvl 20 only, i don't think can get the lvl 30 bandanna le.
Aquila suddenly liang, george and woon playing again. Oh well better than playing alone at least.

I think i owe someone an apology.
I'm so unfeeling.

Sorry about yesterday.
I seriously should have watched what i said.
At that moment i really wasn't thinking well.
At first i thought you were all right 'cos you were on a casual topic.
Suddenly everything became well...
Violent. And Sacrastic.
I probably should have noted the change in tone.
And considered what happened lately on your blog.
And how you day was.
But i didn't care then.
And i'm sorry for that.
Yes. I'd admit i was slightly annoyed at times yesterday.
That's why i replied sort of in a harsh tone.
Well i do hope you see this.
And in the end its your choice if you forgive me or not.
I'm not one who force people to do things.
I'm sorry.

Here's a song i want to dedicate to you.

Sleeping is good.

Sleeping is good.
Today slept from 2pm to 6pm after waking up at 11am-1.30pm++

Cos it was raining.

And i didn't go ah liang house. Aww man.
So stay at home a sleep ZZZ_ZZZ

Wake up edit 2 profiles today.
Helped edit yj's profile.

Then i edit my own.

Now feel like sleeping.
Tomorrow should be going out to watch movie with Nathan they all.

Short post today.

Can't think of anything today. Braces still hurt when i eat.

Love thy enemy, love thyself.

Saturday.

Service was nice, though i made darryn miss seeing our cg people getting water baptised because of me.
Cannot on com next time i dun want be late.

Today Pastor Kong is back in Singapore. He came just after a 28-hour flight i think and to preach for us.
Continued on his preaching about the power of one and basically summed up the whole thing.

Next week christmas already.
Samsom says me and darryn like not excited like that.
Well for 1 thing school's going to reopen soon.

But i do have the mood for christmas. Yes. 40,000.

Really appreciate if anyone could turn up for christmas service. I'll probably send the email to you if you're interested.
Well even if you aren't i'll still send to a selected few.
Mainly those that aren't saved yet.

Well don't talk so much haha.

Loving the enemy is not a easy feat.
Well it is hard IF you try to love with your flesh and soul.

But once you experience Jesus's unconditional love.
It wouldn't be so hard.

Today's the last day of my bible study.
Time go for the next one le yays! :D

Quote of the day, "If something is beyond our reach, God will help us by providing it. But if something is within our reach, God expects us to work very, very, very hard for it."

Sentosa

Ok braces hurt alot.
ALOT.

When i bite, it hurts.

When i chew, it hurts.

When my insicors hit something, it hurts.

But peck hui says its the price of being vain.
Ok maybe not vain but having perfect teeth.

Ouch.

Going sentosa today.

Better catch some rest. If not i might become too lethargic.

Cya all.

Short disappointing entry today.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Sentosa was fun. Real fun.
Hmm played lotsa icebreakers games.
Well actually 2 only.

Then build a sand castle.
Its dam hard ok.

Cos we had to build one that was suppose to be dam big and people can step in.

Ya so abit hard lah.
But quite fun.
Like when we last min chiong is like dam funny lah.

But we won still. YEAH.

GO ICEBERG.

Homework

I've haven't started on any homework yet. And i'm not worried. Ok maybe just abit.

I'm getting braces today.
Well hope it dosen't hurt.

Today when i ate fries, my back teeth hurt abit.

And i thought of this a few min ago. While chatting:

2 guys walk on the street after purchasing an mp3 each.
They wanted to give their wives an early christmas surprise.

Along the way home, they planned what to say to their wives.
One guy got an ipod nano, the other, an ipod video.

When they both got home,

Nano guy: I got you something honey.
Wife: What dear?

Nano guy: Its much smaller than compared to you.
Wife: Oh (slightly pissed)

Nano guy: Its slimmer too.

Video guy: Honey, I'm home.
Wife: Where have you been dear?

Video guy: Urm...
Wife: Are you hiding somthing from me?

Video guy: Urm...
Wife: TELL ME QUICKLY WHAT IT IS.

Video guy: It has a larger capacity than anything else.

And this is something which i think makes an excellent quote of the day. Dino told me over the phone and he said Pastor Kong said it before.

Quote/Phrase of the day: "Sin exists with 'I' in the middle."

Broadcast Journalism 2

Tuesday.

Today wrapped up the final part of the course. Today we were scheduled to do a complete news bulletin.
We had 4 main topics to do and each event would be covered by a team of 3.
Here goes:

- *SCAPE Youth Park
- School of the Arts
- Re-opening of the National Musuem
- Stalker in Bishan

Ok the last topic was somehow last minute and Marc thought it would be rather interesting haha.

The teams tackling each topic, in order respectively:

- Henry(r), Jerold (H.P.'s sick awww)
- Shao Ren, Ervin and yours truly(r)
- Yu Hung(r), Shan Wei, Darren
- Jit Hin(r), John, Cepheus

And so (r) stands for reporters. Haha.
Shao's producer and Ceph's director.
Jerold and John make superb anchors.(The newcasters that read eg. Cheryl Fox)

We had to cover the events, take shots AND eat lunch in 3 hours, then come back and edit everything, do voiceovers and have everything ready for broadcast by 5pm.

We started discussion at 11.30am.

Pressurizing.

My group decided to follow Henry's group 'cos we could share interviewees and thought it was a good idea.
Unfortunately, the skate park was almost totally empty.

So while Henry's group started on their work already. We were lost without interviewees.
So we decided to head on down to Cineleisure.

It was 12 when we got to Cineleisure.

Decided that it was a mistake 'cos it was nowhere near SOTA and no one would know anything.
Headed down to City Hall as we thought SOTA would be there cos we checked the map in the .mac lab previously.

Luck was not on our side again.
It was dam funny when we were like "oh shit. This fcuking sucks."

Almost 1pm. With no footages.

So guess what we did next?

Eating at Burger King in Raffles City. Yes.

Headed quickly to Dhouby Gaut then ervin and me were kind of half shocked when we saw how far the site was on a locality map in the mrt station.
Shao said it wouldn't be too far.

In fact it wasn't.
It was beside The Cathay.

Finally started work.

I think i make a bad reporter. My eyes keep darting all over the place and i sound rather monotonious.

Oh well, managed to wrap all the footages under half an hour which "kicked-ass" as Shao would say.

And some really unexpected and funny things happened along the way.

Reached school by 2.20pm.
We're good journalists. Terrific indeed.

Mac lab.

*Shao,Ervin and I enter the mac lab*

Shao: "Are we early or what?"

*Everyone stares in silence and john helpfully informs us that we're the last group.*

Then edited the tapes and i did a voice over for some transition parts.
The whole bulletin was then put together by Mr Wang and Marc.

I'd say the whole thing looked rather professional.
No really, it was professional.

Overall its really a nice experience.

Yes journalism broadcasting is really a big thing and now i really think those people at the news station everyday providing the public with news are really great people.

Applause please.

Kudos to all news crew, reporters, newscasters, studio crew, technical and media crew.

Thanks so much for keeping us informed.

Broadcast Journalism

OMGAWD.
THIS JUST IN.

I DON'T HAVE TO WORK TOMORROW TOO.

PRAISE THE LORD.

Broadcast Journalism

Attended a course today in school.

What is it on? What is it on?

Just look at the title.

We're so hounoured to have Marc as our instructor and he's amazing i tell you.
Some facts, well he's a NewZealander and he had worked with Mediacop for 5 years.
And i unsure of his age, ask him tomorrow haha.

Very lively.
And funny and local haha.

Local in the sense that he knows singlish.
Hahaha today he asked someone for the meaning of embarrassment, 'pai seh'.

Learnt a whole lot on journalism.
A whole lot.
For all those budding journalist-wannabes out there, pressure is something you've got to get used too.
Yes. Its a fact.

And i've been overwhelmed by the fact that blogging is a form of journalism too.
No wonder Henry has become rather serious about blogging.
Well its just my guess haha.

Made two videos today.
The first one was to make a news report, like those news report you see on tv.
But we only had to do voice overs, so no sitting at the table holding news in the hands.
No big plasma tv beside you.
No Cheryl Fox.

I duno why but seems suddenly she's a hot topic. Hahaha.

Yeah i kind of sound dead when reporting the news.
I thought John's voice blended well, Shan Wei's one too, just that his voice got kind of cut off at the end haha.

So i think i'm going to take blogging a lil' more serious now.
Its now longer just an online diary.
Its your connection to the world.

Sounds a lil' exaggerating but well if you've read the past two weeks(i think) or so, on Digital Times "Power to the Blogger." Yeah something like that.
Your little comments can change the world with every word you type.

Ok gotta go do research for tomorrow.
And i'm so in support of *Scape.

This is Melvin from iNews signing off. WTFFFF HAHAHA. (Only people who were there today will understand.)

Lethargy

That's the state i am in now.

Ok i haven't been blogging recently 'cos i was dam tired and sort of lazy the last few days.

Today was a nice day.
Watched this:

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
It was awesome ok.
And a local production to boot.

Work work.

Tomorrow there's this course.
Journalism broadcast.

The past few days i was brooding over whether to go for the course or to work, but now i have an answer

And, by the grace of God, THERE'S NO WORK TOMORROW!!!

YAY!

And i'm still a little tired.
HOPEFULLY the course won't be too boring.

Maybe i'll keep a record of what i eat everyday like what peck hui said. Haha.

So far i've got rubberbands on only. Widening gaps between teeth.
It feels kind of funny. Cos i keep having this feeling that something's stuck in my teeth. And when sometimes i bite it hurts.
BUT. I still can eat anything. Well but the dentist said that should avoid hard things when i get my braces.

Guess i'll have to lay off chewing table legs.

I DON'T DO THAT. SERIOUSLY haha.

Yes yes outing on friday. Go sentosa.
But when i think of the beach i get this really sian feeling.

I hate sand. Keeps getting stuck all over my feet, and shoes and slippers. And can't support the bouncing of a basketball.

Ok i'll stop whining. Haha.

Techno's the love now.

Haven't done this in a long time.

job. Job. JOB.

YES. Got a job finally. WOOHOO.
Giving out flyers at $5 per hour. YES PER HOUR.

Starting tomorrow so no more late night sleeping for the next 5 days.
Well maybe except for tomorrow 'cos i'm not working on saturday.

Went out early this morning to check my teeth.
I'm getting braces.
Dr Kenneth says it'll take about 18 months to complete and i'll have to go back every 3 weeks for tightening and stuff which is about 24 visits.
I did the math while waiting.
Yeah and he did an X-ray for me. Also there's this hard metal mouthpiece that he fills with some sort of paste which has a lil flavouring and rams it into my upper and lower jaw. It hurt abit but i ren. I ren.

Then later went taka to eat with ham(a.k.a my bro) and my mum. Then my mum couldn't resist shopping haha. I bought some new clothes like finally?

After that met up with qian and met her friends and took train to city hall and walked to marina. Oh and met these two other guys too. All stay around amk-bishan area. Haha.

We met up with the guy and walked to burger king at milenia walk cos that place was like totally deserted. THEN the dam SIAN part came.

Waited like 3 hours for the guy's boss, oh yeah he's called guo han i think. Guo han, han guo. Haha. So FINALLY the boss came and did a briefing, which lasted 5 MINUTES!!!

Aah crap. 3 hours gone. I feel so wasted.

Wednesday, December 6, 2006

For some fcuked up reason i can't go to accustomedone's blog anymore.

Screw gaagle. Bloody hell.

Having a dental appointment tomorrow. Hope it ends before 4pm so i can go with qian for the briefing at milennia walk.
$5 per hour. Woot.

I'll post something more interlectual later. Time is slow.

154th Post

I've got no idea what to write for my title.
Seriously.
I keep losing slip of topics i think of on the train or somewhere else.
ARRRGGHH.

Anyway, TUESDAY

Prayer meeeting todae.

At home before prayer meeting, i was surfing youtube after browsing friendster for bout an hour. I think i might go down to the library tomorrow.

Anyway that explains why there's so many videos in my previous post.

Prayer meeting was a JURONG. THATS FAR.

Mangae to reach there ON TIME.

You don't see MELVIN and ON TIME BERY FREQUENTLY.

In fact you see MELVIN and LATE come together quite nicely.

Make that FASHIONABLY LATE.

So anyway we headed on to this coffee shop to eat and the ban mian was like ROXXXX.
Got some special sauce. Too bad i order the small bowl.
Nathan was dam hungry.
He even wanted to cope Rolland's bowl of $3 ban mian haha.

But it still tasted great.
Anyone hardcore want-eat-good-ban mian, i can bring you to that place haha.

Then went for the prayer meeting, sam, ho yin and joel( i think) went first and got seats for us.

So the four of us, Caleb, Nathan, Rolland and me headed on to Prime to buy water. And there was this soda, with the traditional bottle caps. And rolland bought a glass. But he couldn't open it and tried some rather peculiar ways like banging it against the counter and Nathan decided to help by trying to pry it open by pulling the cap while hooking it onto some stuff.
Caleb was like "errr Nathan ok Nathan we should hurry 'cos we're late."

But we weren't. WOAH. 2nd time in a day i'm not late for something. By the grace of God.

Prayer meeting was an uplifting experience. We prayed and prayed and prayed and i didn't expect it to end so fast.

It was "pray pray pray pray" HUH suddenly 'we're dismissed.'

Haha ok.

Short post as accustomedone asked for it.

Tuesday, December 5, 2006

I'm stuck at home and i've decided to post a few videos haha.

Cos i have really nothing to do now.

American Idiot - Greenday Live 8 Concert

Will you just look at that crowd.

I'm Alright - JerryC

JerryC rox. Period.

Aston kutcher is such a great prankster HAHAHA.

Sleeping alot is good.
Especially when you've listening to your pod for the lst 8 hours or so.

I found out my ipod can last about 16 hours which is quite cool.

Standard battery life. Yeah.

Bowled today.

First game:75
Seconad game: 73
Third game: 123

Can you say Zai?

Hahaha. Guess what helped pulled my score, not luck.

I LISTENED TO THE iPOD WHILE BOWLING.

Orh yeah cut my hair today.

I'm paranoid over whether i look like darryn now.

Mac guy1: Let's go see the new macs in town.

Mac idiot: I don't like Mcdonalds.

Stay in your WTF face till i come with a camera to your house. xD

Today went out to give out flyers.

Spot Kitchen. Yucks!
Their food tasted like crap the last time i ate.

Oh wells.

Any other jobs available??

No song of the day cos i've got no song stuck in my head.
OK maybe i do have one.

TMB Charts

150TH POST.

I wanted to add this yesterday but forgot.
So i shall update it today.
And TMB stands for tehmelblog.

Top 5 songs stuck in my head

5) Canon Groove - Audition. A great rendition of the oringinal canon.

4) Give Me Novacaine - Greenday. I think the drum beats are catchy, that's why there stuck. Give me novacaine.

3) Sweet Child O Mine - Guns & Roses. Fell in love with this song recently.

2) Don't Say You Love Me - M2M. So what if they're disbanded, chick bands still rock.

1) 简单爱 - 周杰伦 ( Simple Love - Jay Chou ) For some funny reason, this song keeps ringing in my head. Its a nice tune.

My Top 10 Personal Favourite Songs

10) The World is Black - Good Charlotte

9) Untitled - Simple Plan

8) Yellow - Coldplay

7) Canon Groove - Audition

6) Iris - GooGoo Dolls

5) Bouvelyard of Broken Dreams - Greenday

4) Breakin' the Habit - Linkin Park

3) 晴天 - 周杰伦 ( Fine Day - Jay Chou )

2) Don't Say You Love Me - M2M

And my number one song is...

one song that makes me feel special.

one song that never fails to cheer me up.

one song that would sum up how i would like life to be.

*Drum roll*

1) All Star - SmashMouth

Yay!

Frankly i think my top 10 songs is ever changing. As long the song fits my mood well, or suddenly i'm practicing active listening and go Hmm this song is actually not bad.

Well haha.

I guess if you love music, you love it all, no matter what genre it is, rock, blues, classic, jazz, metal, pop, R&B, Techno. Yeah the list goes on.

Service today was nice.
It was inspiring. Yes. Today only got 4 people haha. I was like shocked when i saw only got caleb, samantha, ho yin and me. I thought there was more lah haha.

I met a new friend today, daniel. He seems to be real popular among the church hah.
Is guessing ages a trend or something haha?

Today played a basketball match in the morning.
We played against this team called tempest and sengkang area. And i woke up late!!!

Luckily managed to reach there in time. Played only 1-quarter though. Mini say i improve, but i wanna know specifically haha. I don't sense any difference.

There was this time when a huge quarrel broke out because bert fouled their point guard and that guy got dam pissed about not claiming fouls and why we don't have a referee on our side.
Luckily one of their own guys managed to like calmly settle the situation. Their coach also.

Well we lost. 34-62 i think.

Wow haha. Well what to do, this was my first experience in proper match and i thought well i think i did a fair enough job. Followed vincent's instructions throughout.

We had 7 players, they had like 15 plus.

But we could've won. That's the real, sort of disappointing thing.

All those in the team if you're reading this now. I'll tell you all i think what's wrong with the team.

Its not about on court. I think on court our skills are really ok not bad.

Its what off-court that counts. There's no team spirit.

There's no sense of belonging of the team.

That is why hardly anyone turns up for the training.

If you feel attached to the team, will you not be enthusiastic in whatever you do for the team?

Seriously, i think we're playing too on our own, we make too much of our own decisions. We have to learn to trust viincent's judgement and believe what he says is correct.

What he does and gives orders are the best plans to win.

If you don't start believing in this simple fact, i don't see how we can progress.

I hope this really makes everyone reflect. I have done my own soul-searching.

Trust.

Life would be a mistake without music

That's not a philosophy i conformed. Its actually the motto of a store somewhere in Beach Road called Gramaphone(i think no sp).

Honestly i think that's really true.

Sound is an important aspect in life. Just imagine a day without sound. You never know when a piano may just fall from the sky and crush you. I know it sounds cliche but if you can't hear it falling, can you dodge it?

The ears, in my opinion, is the second most important organ, coming under the eyes and one notch above the skin.

Seems like i've managed to balance that emotional scale abit. I guess its thanks to music.

Music feeds the soul.

So very true.

When I'm Gone

I think my last post was too vague.

Everybody say 'vague'.

My cousin says i can be a pastor. I was wtf, wait 10 years also cannot.

I've been offline for a week. And now its the start if a new month. And its 1 month to the end of the year.

Expect more resoulutions and reflections in my posts.

I'm deeply saddenned. And i miss somebody. Someone dearly.

I don't really think its appropriate to blog it here.

So i won't.

Its really sad.

Try these words. They mean something to me now.

And when I'm gone, just carry on, don't mourn
Rejoice every time you hear the sound of my voice
Just know that I'm looking down on you smiling
And I didn't feel a thing, So baby don't feel my pain
Just smile back

I'm feeling real screwed.

Anyway just wanted to wish 2 of my good pals:

Have a safe trip to korea, Robin!

Have a safe trip to Los Angeles, Amanda!

Take care friend, its gotta be cold in those places so don't restrain yourselfs.

After blog hopping, i realised more people are going overseas than i thought.

Here's one to Hubert too,

Have a safe trip to Japan, Hubert!

Well i still feel:

Lost, Melancholic, Slightly Depressed, Confunsed, Uptight

Basically a heavy dose of sadness, regret and confusion mixed into a deadly potion.

And i had to take a full bottle of it.
