Its been a week since i've blogged hahaha.
Somehow i just can't get down with the time to blog.
Maybe i just miss it sometimes haha.
Thanks to avid readers like Peck Hui[Honourable mention siah lah] who keep my blog alive while i'm away haha.

Had 2 bowls of laksa on satuday.
Actually it was one and a half.
Katong laksa seh! Don't play play!
Shioking sia with two spoons of chilli sauce.
It was more than that thanks to Colby and Davin.
But it wasn't hot, seriously.
ITS SHIOK

And as Davin missed the cockroach with his stamping feet, i back-swept it towards Bao Juan and Joan.
I was rewarded with a pair of shrill screams.
Slammed a hi-five with Harvee in the air.


Today was flag day.
Or supposedly it was.
I reached C.K. Tangs 1 hour later than scheduled.
So went to meet Darryn and we went to collect money until about 1pm.
I must say today's crowd wasn't that appeasing compared to the crowd last saturday.
Many people were unwilling to give.
However, those that did, gave rather generously.

So went to Cineleisure to eat.
Met Sunny, Ala, Kai Sheng, John and Leonard there.
Met up with Perry, Shawn, Box, Khee Ern, Gideon, Darren, Sei Yee and decided to go Suntec for a movie.
Well i thought there was a GV there.
So we took the train.
While walking up to the bridge to Suntec, Jun Hui joined us.
Khee Ern and me were walking faster than the rest.
So we were walking near to the end of the exhibition tower when we realized no one was behind us!
Oh and we were playing a game along the way, naming shops as we walked.

We reached the cinema.
And to our sheer amazement, it wasn't GV, it was Eng Wah.
Ok i admit i have a bad memory.
So we sat around and finally decided to watch License to Wed.

I must say its really a good movie.
Robin Williams proved yet again that his antics were more than enough to get the crowd laughing.
And that little boy kind of cute in a humourous way.
Minister-in-training haha!
Its one real romance comedy that does really make you think twice about getting into a relationship.
Plot-wise, it isn't really that good, honestly.
Theme-wise, it was great.
I liked the Jamacian and JC joke the best!

Rating?
I would say: 4/5 stars.

So then we chionged off to return the cans and went to eat at Taco Bell at Shaws.
Darren, Gideon and Sei Yee went off first.
So left Perry, Darryn, Khee Ern, Box, Shawn and me.
And we were talking about Grad Night, past, present, future.
Also a whole lot of other bullshit.
And Perry is now obsessed with wanting to watch Hairspray.
Through this flag day somehow i've finally managed to find a bond with my 3-4 mates.
Yep, it was a fruitful expedition.


So now might be planning for a shooting outing with the artsy people in the cell group as suggested by Jonathan.
Maybe during the hols, and definitely after Chinese O's.
And i realised one thing about the importance of framing your videos and pictures while looking at the mirror while in the bathroom.

Don't force to people to see what they can't see. Make them see what they thought they couldn't see.

Resolved the friendster bug already.
"Saviour of the soul" huh.
I guess in a way its much better if half the world spent lesser time on friendster and more time on more fruitful things instead.
Somehow i didn't feel total hatred for this person who created this bug.
Frankly i was just real irritated.

Benny and Jun Yong came back to school today.
Haha for some reason Benny was able to unite the 2-5 people at one table with his grand entrance.
I think he's matured in his thoughts much more than before, in that sense its good but i pray that he won't go down the wrong path again.

Well as for Jun Yong haven't seen him much since this morning.
Still giving me the looks everytime he sees me.
Well I don't blame him, not anyone at all.
Its been quite some time since then.
I'd never quite forget that incident, but i've decided to let it go.
I don't know how you feel but i guess a relationship won't work unless both parties agree to it.
How i'd wish it were like the past.
But no, All i can say is, are you willing to start over?

Played soccer outside studio and Joshua made a personal statement with the exit sign.
Now its dangling in mid air with one of its poles de-attached from it.

Today tilt the machine again and 6 bottles of choco milk haha.
Gotta stop that.

Ok short post 'cos its about 3.45am in the morning.
Finished physics project around 3.20am.

Just had to make a short note in my blog haha.

881 was great. Caught it last friday.
Royston Tan had some great framing techniques.
I especially liked the framing technique he used where the guy went to sell his chicken.
I thought that part was kind of touching.

Overall i would say it is a VERY GOOD LOCAL film.
And the theme is well built in a very singaporean way.
Imagine the look on my face when i saw old people in the cinema getting up to leave after the movie ended!
Haha no i wasn't that surprised actually.

The movie release is just right, a week before the real seventh lunar month.(About there lah.)
There are sure alot of great films to catch this month but i would strongly recommend 881 as one of the MUST-CATCH movies.

Verdict? 5 out of 5 stars.

Happy Birthday Singapore!

Wow our nation's already 42 years old!
Haha I'm at least older than a quarter of her already.
About one-third haha.

Went out to celebrate my grandma's birthday today.
Had some vegetarian food at thompson area, sin ming there.
Long time since i've seen all my cousins(mother's side) gathered as one again.

And went out shopping later and bought a new pair of shoes.
Yay!
Wanted to use the shopping vouchers my ex-cell group gave me for my birthday haha.
Would have gotten 2 new pairs if not for the latter, which didn't have an approriate size for me because it was out of stock for that size.
Anyway still happy :D

Went Darryn house after that, but surprisingly never pool'ed lol.

Its like some time since i've heard Busted's album A Present For Everyone.

My physics remastery got 11 again, same as my common test.

Didn't manage to pass SBJ again.
ARRGH i jumped over 200+ then GKY not there to see.

Had NDP rehearsal in gym.
Pumping iron sia haha.
Ervin, Jit and Manfred halfway went to play soccer lol.
And blasted speakers causes big probelms.

Relaxing this week.
Yet ironically its piled up with many things to do.

Tomorrow have to do chinese remastery, zhao home change then go band concert.
Wed national day and 2-5 tepanyaki.
Thurs CG and grandma birthday.

I've been noticing how i always fail to post from mid-week onwards.

Another busy week passes by.
Ok this week was quite slack, i was slacking a lot for the most of this week.

Gan Qing Gu Xiang on friday was quite boring but i thought the english drama was good.

And Happy Birthday to Kah Koon(4/8/07)!

Sat went for Festival Of Praise at Singapore Indoor Stadium.
The best ever!
The whole mood and setting was just great.
Managed to catch the LAST SHUTTLE BUS, TRAIN and PUBLIC BUS on the way home.

Haha Thank God for that.
Managed to catch the last train with Kah Koon, Ivan, Tawan and Clement on Friday as well.

Well, heck sure it couldn't have been coincidence.

There's school tomorrow but its going to be a fantastic week with all the holidays lining up.
Finally, time to catch up on my sleep.

Came home and went to AMK hub with my family to celebrate my brother's birthday.
Fish & Co.
Yummy stuff and fills easily 'cos of the butter, cheese and fried skin that my new york fish & chips had.
Not cheap though.

The Key Story

Praise God today for giving me guidance today to FIND the STUDIO KEY in the 'jungle'.
"Jungle" was coined by Ming Xuan.
So anyway how did i end up searching for the damn key in the first place?

A quiet afternoon was eminent on the fifth floor of cat high. Quite a rare sight to behold given this period of time in the afternoon.
Strolling past one empty classroom after another, I stopped short in front of class 3-8, noticing that it was Mr 'Ting' not Mr 'Teng' who was relieving the class as i originally thought.
As i walked towards the far end, Micheal gave me the sign. I removed the thought producing a similar action from my mind, and took out my favorite past-time handheld console and clicked it into action.
I was over absorbed into it when Michael beckoned me 3 times, i failed to notice him. Desperate, he threw the key, attempting to land it on the floor.
The key did a double somersault as it bounced from the floor, narrowly passed through a slit on the cold, hard stone parapet, and sailed 2 metres into the air, and fell practically a long way down to the 1st story.
This was followed by a certain number of blank stares, vulgarities and mouths which hung soundlessly agape.

After a fifteen minute search, i finally found the key.
Under the leaf of a plant, tricky.
Oh well its times like this that make life all the more interesting to live for.

Wednesday recess was really memorable cos we snatched woon ngiap's phone.
Then once when he tried to snatch from linde, he threw to me and my catch like slipped and it bounced once...............twice..........................thrice in the AIR then LANDED on one of the cushions of chairs at the student lounge.

THANK GOD IT DIDN'T DROP ONTO THE FLOOR.

Just in case you were wondering which phone model was it:

Jit and me spilled manfred's anything onto the gym's bench while playing with one of those giant relax balls.
Taupok-ed Manfred five times later in studios.
Pillow frisbee nearly ended up in the destruction of the only mood light stand in the studio.
And now frenster is some search site for eye-candy.


Sat service was very very good.
I got delivered! Yes.

Okay going to hardcore FFT next few days 'cos i feel like restarting my account. Going to trade some stuff to Mooris's account tomorrow.

And i thought Mole wasn't going to be tested.

Today was very very slack. Basically had no lessons at all.
Shan Wei, Jit Hin and me were doing assembly duty.
So left class at 10.50am, the only other time i went back was to grab my bag to go j8.

Well its almost a year since the Goblet of Fire came out and i thought it was the best among the Harry Potter series of movies.
Just caught the Order of the Phoenix today with teh cell group peoplez.

The aircon was cold. Brrr.
But Darryn and me made the cinema our home haha!
Kiao ka like no one's business.
Joy's contact dropped out while into the first hour of the movie!

The movie was overall great, but i felt it lacked something.
Effects were much better this time, almost comparable to spiderman 3.
The only thing i felt that was not really good was the scene they took when Harry and the Order of the Phoenix people where they flew past the buildings in London and all, I felt the scene wasn't used as much as it should have been.

Rating? 4 out of 5 stars.

I mean you'd think that whatever that comes out from their mouth is all nonsense but if you look at it in a way, sometimes it takes some creativity to twist it into another perspective to direct at whoever's listening.

Ok today had tech run and i overslept again 'cos i didn't want to wake up to the alarm.
SO anyway when i've reached, Ervin was later.

Then went to jam the drums awhile before Ervin came.
When he did, we had to move a ton of stuff to the hall.

I carried Smarvo amp while Manfred and Ervin carried Peavey amp and i overtook them lol.

Rehearsal finally started around 11am.
Bryan Wong's band was not bad, except for their ending, which was a little weak haha.
Bo Xian's band er, wasn't so good.

Later we closed curtains and walked to j8 to eat.
Then Michael, Manfred, Ervin, Shan Wei pangseh us go foodcourt.
So Henry, Hua Peng, Jerold, Donovan, Yin Zheng and me went Long John.

Long John was having this promotion on the shrimp+chicken combo and if you upsize the drink you get scratchcards that could win prizes.
So i ordered the meal but didn't want the upsize cos i wanted to buy MILO PACKET from bishan market.
So Henry, YZ and me ate the meal and only YZ got upsize x2 to large drink so got 2 scratch cards.

Then later YZ like trying to act out The Secret and said, "Ah this one ipod nano 4GB."

Everyone at the table was kind of shocked.
I mean seriously what were the chances haha?

Everyone started talking about it haha.
Jerold and Henry were whining about how they could've won the shuffle instead if they had upsized their drink instead.
Jerold thought that the serial numbers were in sequence but they weren't.
Then they started talking about The Secret again lol.

Later when we finished eating, Henry said he was super thristy after glancing at his empty drink and said,

"I should have UPSIZED my drink."

I just LOL'ed.
In fact everyone did.

Later when we went back hall, after buying bubble tea and i finished my milo packet.
Michael just didn't believe YZ won lol.

Later did tech run and our 30 second clear-up was more than screwed.

Moved everything back to studio.
Manfred seemed quite pissed 'cos everyone was slacking around while he was the only one clearing up.
Oh yah and i think he had tuition close to four or five.
So i finally stopped talking and helped him.
And managed to get the others too, Ervin had already made several trips back and forth.
Then later when we went studio, they slacked inside again lol.
Left Manfred, Ervin and me who went up to clear the hall.
OMG 3 PEOPLE CLEAR THE HALL HAHA.
After donovan took the bass drum down *round of applause*, equipment check:

Ok which homework should i start with?

Suddenly i'm quite scared by the amount of pictures my fellow CG members have.

Airport Trip

Went airport in the afternoon to send Wen Hui, Delvina, Daphanie and Kang Wei off to Malang for the mission trip.
Haha they'll be back in a week's time with good reports :P

At first I thought I'll be late when i saw Lena's message and will become Wen Hui's food lol.
Surprisingly, reached there EARLY.

Saw Sharon and Angeline in the same cabin as me when transferring to the train that goes to Pasir Ris.
Then met Jonathan and Amanda while transferring to the train at Tanah Merah.
Haha super qiao.

Then met up with Margaret, Bao Juan and Lena at the MRT outside.
Walked to macs to eat haha, which was very far, like at the other end.
When we went up the escalator, met Calista, whom i've mispronouced her name twice.

Ate at macs, Big Mac upsize siah lah, still felt a little hungry after that.
Margaret couldn't finish lol, cos i think she ate before that.
Talked alot haha but i stayed silent listening.
Gathered alot of info haha.

Later, the missionaries came haha and Kang Wei seemed rather hungry and chionged fries and a drink.
Went up to departure hall where we snapped some pics and did a short prayer.
Haha and later the missionaries took their own sweet time going in while waving at the same time.

Later we went to the viewing gallery. Waited quite long before we saw them again haha.
This time they were on the plane, couldn't REALLY see them but saw a waving hand through one of the windows haha.

So after we split up and took different buses.
And now i know alot more about the cell group haha.

First time been to HoGc's new location.
Sing post became sim post lol
Waited for JK to come, which was around 3+, then chionged with Yi Bin to the church haha.

One big auditorium but i thought the lighting system was rather good.
The cameras they were using were the the long kind i duno called what model de lol.
Just that i know our video uses the same kind.

Sound system blasting into JK right ear. Mine too lol.
Got a while to get into the mood of the concert haha.

Alter call near the end.
The lead singer's really good.

After the concert, JK and me went to grab the special HoGc bibles haha.
Saw *suprise* wei cheng haha!

Met a few new people haha.
Ok everyone was new of course since i didn't know anyone there, except Yi Bin and Ming Yang, whom i met during Emerge.

Got to meet:
- Yi Bin's elder brother, Yi En
- This girl who never stops smiling :D but i don't know her name
- Hui Yi, haha seems to be a good friend of Yi Bin (Guess wrong her age, opps! :P)
- Another random girl that i forgot to ask for her name

Haha i just forget to exchange greetings most of the time.

So after waiting for Yi Bin they'll to finish decorating an album for Pst. How, zhao'ed to mrt while showing them how to get to the 24 bus-stop.

Wen Hui, Daphanie, Kang Wei and Delphina (is this correct?) flying off tomorrow on mission trip ah.

Met all the new CG people and its like WOW alot of new people lah.

SHIT i think my bicep muscles are de-gening.

Swelling

Ok its mad to see how much my cheeks actually have swelled up to since the day after the extraction, i mean its like stuffing two tennis balls into each side of my mouth.
Its that big really.

But today i think the left side kind of stopped swelling and became smaller after like 12 or 14 pills of that swelling medicine.
Like spam lol.

Going to tuition in an hours time.
Don't ask me about holiday homework.
I'll tell you, "What holiday?"

Extraction

Had my wisdom teeth extracted in the morning.
The surgery consisted of:
- 4 jabs of something through a super long needle into my mouth.
- two pieces of cotton wool with anestathic on it placed in my mouth to numb it.
- A sawing tool that i could hear and "feel".
- Some hook-like tool to keep my mouth open but i couldn't see it as well.
- Some knocking/cutting tool to extract the tooth.

The last 3 i couldn't see the appratus cos i was er sort of blind folded from nose up.
I think was because to prevent blood from splattering onto my face.

Anyway the anastathic feeling was really numb.
My whole mouth had like no feeling and when i closed and opened it, i couldn't feel my lower jaw.

The sawing part was quite nice compared to the digging/cutting/extraction part.
Cos it felt like something pressing against the tooth and had the sawing sound without the pain.
Cool.

The extraction part could feel something scraping against my lip's edge so not very nice.

Then i think the whole thing was done up pretty quick, like i think half an hour or about 45 minutes.
My mouth was numb.

I become so numb...

Or rather my lower jaw.
Settled the dates and payments then went to taka foodcourt to eat.
By then my left lower jaw was hurting like crazy but my right jaw was like no feeling at all.
After eating, took the painkillers which managed to subdue the pain after about an hour or so.

Reached home after a wet trip buying ham's lunch.
Then GE'ed and now level 24. Fast siah lah.

Hope pain goes away before saturday.
Cos it hurts when i smile xD

That's like the past week of my holidays.

Ok at least last sat went for the photo seminar thing which was kind of fun.
At suntec.
Saw a Moogle and a Sasuke cosplayer together giving out suntec flyers.

Then yz mass spammed money into the psp machine LOL.
Roc got to level 4 for House of the Dead 4 with 1 credit.

And the muah chee costs more than $2 lol.

Last sunday meet our new cell group leader, and some of her members too.
Ah at least all the cat high together.
Magaret also lol, she reminds me of a mouse. =X

Today played match with Ao Yang and another team, i think called Punggol Union or something.
Er i guess not bad 'cos we finally won Ao Yang.
But got thrashed 57-37 when played with P.U. lol

Down to last two weeks of hols, don't remind me about homework.

Final Post on Emerge 2007! (Or at the the chronological record of it)

Emerge Session 7: 10.30am-12pm
Didn't make it for the morning session at 10am cos i couldn't wake up on time =X
Then went to queue for the second session.
This service was friendship connection so there would be free Ben & Jerry's!

Emerge Session 8: 12.30pm-2pm
Got seats and only Samuel came while Roll had to serve.
Ban Chuan and his members were sitting with us too.
Surprised to see Sam at the service!
This service was friendship connection too so there was free Ben & Jerry's for the new friends!
Haha but i didn't bring anybody.

Later ate lunch and had to queue SUPER SUPER long for seats.
Everyone was like squeezing and pushing in the line and me and Samuel were playing blackjack while queuing lol.
Then later he stormed the front then got one path then i just follow behind lol.

Emerge Session 9: Finale! 5pm-10pm

This is like the best session of all the Emerge sessions!
Samuel, JK and me camped for seats at Delta while watching the Winning Eleven 8 finals.
Then later service started and it was like the first day 'cos they were broadcasting it LIVE again.
Arm wrestling finals very entertaining haha.
Word was good.
The talentime prizes!
I think the solo vocalist catergory, who i thought should win did.
Bands i guess it was kind of so-so for the result.
Drama haha, expected.
Then later the whole thing ended like around 10+

Rather short 'cos i can't remember everything already haha.
But I think i'll come back and edit once I remember more stuff. (:

Good Day

Today is a very good day.

After two days of pure inactivity, i had to get my bum out around 10.30++ for what i thought was supposed to be physics remedial.
Jie Chou had called me the day earlier and told me there was.
Apparently the school was rather quiet and the only lessons i could see were the sec 4s.
Wondered around school till about 11+ and decided to go home instead of waiting at school.
Oh yeah, helped Hubert get the wires and mic haha.
His reactions real funny and Yong Kang even called him KS.

Met Manfred on the way home too.

Reached home, planned to start quiet time but then went to do some physics MCQ and i'm proud to say i could do 10 without any reference.
Then later don't know why just felt real tired and fell asleep for an hour plus.
The only real time i woke up was during a phone call.
I walked to another room, slept in it for half an hour and realised that the fan in my own room was still on.
Being green-minded, i dragged myself back to my own room and slept till ham came back.
Later read the bible awhile then tried some trick on Halo campaign mission that ham read from the internet.
Didn't work.
Anyway i was waiting for my mum to come back for lunch.
Physics started and 2pm and i waited till about 2.30.

By the time i reached there, it was about 3pm.
And i think Ms Wong just finished one part of the lesson.
When she started the second part i realised that i was without notes!
But i tried to concentrate on the lesson and at the same time, make it rather interesting to the people around me(esp. Manfred) so that i wouldn't fall asleep.
The wave with the fiber optic cable duly caught everyone's attention.
Guess i still have the lightstick/phone/camera phobia.

Later went to play basketball where Yi Bin thrashed Bryan, Xing Yu, Leonard, Kenneth Tan and me 11-4 i think.
Like 5v1 still losezzz.
Then most of them went back to stall leaving Bryan Tan and me training by ourselves.
I mean Bryan is seriously a hard worker, he knows his basketball is not good so he wants to improve it.
That's the spirit! (:

So later, some JC people came to the court and played at the other side.
They came once to ask us to play with them, we declined because we were short of people.
Later Ben lee came and they asked us again.
Well we played and surprisingly, we lost 8-11.
I mean well it was quite and ok score and Ben lee was the top scorer for our team haha.

Moved off to refill water when Ben lee invited me to go into the stall.
When i did, Yi Bin was kind of shocked, but he told me in a rather pleasant way to get out.
Of course i had failed to notice their Sir in the room so sorry guys.
Went to slack in the studio as John lamented about his broken skateboard wheel axle.
Later zhao'ed back out 'cos it was 6+ already.

Talked with the NPs awhile.

Emerge 5

Sat 2/6/07 - Talentime Finals.

Chionged to church to watch the talentime finals while waiting for usher to start.
Contestants really good.
I would say the standard is much higher than that of CHMA, of course there is a difference in the age as well as gender alike.
Not that it is alot haha.

Later, was scheduled to usher charlie terrace.
Before that, arranged arena chairs, then went to terrace to wait just as the flow came in.
At first I was doing zone usher and taking attendance for CT01, then later change of plans and became Cyndy's runner.
Had to upkeep the number of empty seats in each zone of the terrace.
So passed the attendace slip to Elisha to handle.

Before service, there were lots of scenarios where people were booking seats and others were unhappy.
Er, i guess sometimes people just refuse to sit somewhere else.
But Charlie's got the best view so i guess there's gonna be fights for the seats there.
Managed to resolve one or two cases i think, but they still wanted to sit at charlie.
Later Pei Fun came and told us that there was actually a family looking for seats but could not get any so she came and debriefed us about it.
Ok gotta improve on that.

By worship, the terrace was full up.
Very good ah, takes a whole load of pressure off my back.
Managed to enjoy service in a seat somewhere in CT03.
Looks like not ALL the seats have been filled haha.

Yeah and later was more exciting, Liu Geng Hong and Wayne were upstage doing a song which i cannot remember due to my poor memory.
But it was good.
He did something shocking as well but i'm not going to put it online, for those who just can't keep your curiosity at bay, arm your handphones, spam my tagbox and nudge me on msn!

Celebrated Sun's birthday too!
Super cool i tell you.

Alter call for all the international delegates.
Really strong presence of God there and then.
I can't believe i actually cried during worship, i thought i had already long forgotten how to cry.
I haven't broke down in a long time.
At least not for the reason of being so touched.
The last time i did was how long? Like 9 years ago?
I'm serious, i don't even break down during funerals.
Definitely it was a touch from God that taught me how to cry again.
There is definitely something special here as I can sense.

So after service, helped to collect the attendance slips and passed to Cyndy who i could tell has had a long, long day.
Took the bus ride home with Shi Lin and Hui Hui back to AMK to eat.
The zhao'ed as they both took cab home 0.0

Emerge Sessions 3-4

Ok slept from 3am to 2pm++
Feeling much more energised after charging battery.

Emerge Session 3: 1/6/07 10am-1pm

Initially i thought i couldn't come for this one 'cos i thought the stage crew camp was on thurs night.
But it was to be on fri night so i could come yay!
Met Nathan then walked in to find Daniel for our seats.
Another talentime finalist.
Forgot her name but i remembered she did a really good rendition of 'A Moment Like This".
Then were the Math Olympiad finals. Its mad lah. The MC haven't finish reading out the question then they answer and correct somemore.
Prizes dam shioking, first prize $1k. Second $800. Third $600.

Later Nathan had to zhao early so Rolland, Daniel and me went to eat lunch at expo.
Later we were joined by Timothy(not tljj).
Rolland had to go off to see a friend who gained an injury during POS and Timothy was still doing some stuff at the foodcourt so Daniel and me went to slack at hall 7.
Played 2 games of pool. Both he ownded me lol.
First game i wasn't really playing at all 'cos like the easiest i still miss. 6-0 ball count.
Second was better, but still lost. 3-0.
There was one shot that was crazy, i accidently whacked the white ball into a jump ball, it hit a brown ball and it flew into a diagonal hole after bouncing off a yellow stripped ball near the diagonal hole.
Then went to watch the Beauty Pagent and ManHunt finals. Haha nothing to do while waiting for usher to begin.
Only watched the street wear and nightgowns/suits segment then had to zhao.
Hotties? I would say a few haha but i'm not the judge.

Emerge Session 4: 6pm-10pm++

External traffic again.
Did the parking lots and i'm in charge of like the main VIPs lots which if i remembered correctly, all are Pastors' lots?!
Like wow hah.
Got to sort of confirm the myth of Pst. Kong being super tall.
He's like half a head taller than me.
Worked with the maths olympaid winner!
Didn't know he was in usher haha :D
Plus he's only 13.
Could hear the results of the Beauty Pagent and Manhunt from outside lol.
Finished around 7+ and finally went in for service, man my legs were killing me, standing there from 4+ onwards.
Got to know more people too (:

Service was SUPER!
Like i think this nights' service was the best in terms of 'special' performances.
PROJECT SUPERSTAR Di Ya and Darren gave a performance with much enthusiasm from the crowd.
Everyone was waving light sticks/handphones/even cameras!?

Super cool message too.
Spelling bee finals was kind of funny to watch haha.

After that went out to keep the external traffic stuff before chionging to the buses with two other fellow ushers, Jason and the other guy i forgot who(x

Reached bishan interchange and walked back to school while having my dinner.
12am? Timely dinner i suppose.
Reached the main gate of school and passed it by 'cos i thought it was locked.
Walked back to whitley court and saw like 20+ people there playing/watching soccer lol. At midnight too.
Then went to the wall and got into the other side and strolled to the studio.
Very nice.
Aside from some rather inapprioriate jokes, went through the backstage plan for CHMA and then we all went out for supper.
Had 1 piece of egg prata and some ngoh hiang.

Later walked back to studio while Mr Wang cabbed back home.
Nearly bought like one whole carton of milo till i found out it cost almost $15 plus for the whole thing.
Later wanted to watch hell night(NCC Air) but only left Manfred, the rest of rest grew tired of waiting.
Slept around 3 and woke up around 9.
Introduced the 'zune zucked' video to Ervin and i could tell it brightened up his day.

Emerge Sessions 1-2

I'm back from Emerge people!
If you're asking me what's Emerge, hohoho you've been missing the BIGGEST YOUTH CONFERENCE ever.
Ok maybe i've placed a slight exaggeration.
From more info, please procede to Emerge Main Site for more details.

For the past four days, its been not only a mind-blowing experience, but also a period where i see my spiritual self grow in ways i never knew i could.

The Lord has been good always and all the time the Lord is good.

An example would be my ministry, for those that know my ministry and for those that don't, i'm in the usher ministry and its been heavily taxing on my physical body to come back day after day, waking up so early and going to bed so late.
Haha let's just i'll be dead beat after each session.
In the past, when i first joined the ministry, at times i felt that it was a chore.
Then on sat's service, our IC Pei Fun(i think) said that, "It is actually a priveliege to serve God because God does not really need our help in the first place..."
Well so i guess that must have been something that God has been trying to tell me about ministry, and yesterday, which was the last day of Emerge 2007, i really felt i missed serving haha.
Especially when Samuel, Jia Kiat and me were waiting for seats to be laid, i missed that feeling of being able to serve others then.
Even though it was only for a day.

Also on sat's service, I felt I kind of stepped up a new level, at first i was doing zone attendance.
Then Cyndy asked me to be her runner, and i had to report the number of empty seats after collecting the results from the other zone ushers.
I hope i didn't too sound over-assertive when i asked for the number of empty seats from each zone area usher haha cos i thought i did.
CT06 was having some probelms as there was only 1 usher taking the whole area, but the other ushers that finished filling their areas' seats helped to fished for him.
All in all we managed to fill the entire Charlie Terrace close to the end of the first worship song.
Yay!

Later found out there was one seat not filled(loophole) and had to fill it in CT03 as one of the taiwan delegates weren't there.
Lol.
But still i think we did a good job :D

Ok a breakdown on each Emerge session.

Session 1: 31/5/07 10am-1pm

Opening Session of Emerge!
Didn't make it to queue, but managed to get in.
Heart of God was in the house too. Met Yi Bin as well as some of his friends.
Talentime singer finalist, good singer, must say hairstyle and dressing reminds me of Paul Twohill, the female version haha.
Did a rather loud but powerful rendition of Kelly Clarkson's "Walk Away".
But i think she has a short tongue, Caleb said it was her braces.
Brainest Youth had some technical probs so the questions part was quite messed up in a way.
Message was good.

Went for candlelight lunch with Caleb, Rolland had POS.
Came back and lingered around hall 7, looking at basketball finals. The basketball players really good but i don't know if those playing there were the Tetiary or Secondary catergory.
If it was the later, man its really scary cos their centers all seem to be able to dunk.
Waited for Darryn , Timo and Samuel to reach then pangseh'ed Sam from the queue as i had usher =X

Good, 'cos i wasn't there to watch Tank sing and i didn't want to miss F.I.R.s' performance either.
Not so good for Cyndy, she was a Tank fan haha.

We couldn't see them then, cos we had to do the signboards for bussing.
There were chatered buses for everyone that would bring them to the various mrt stations. Of course there were a limited number of buses.
So Alwin and me were doing the signboard. We re-did one 3 times and finally got it right on the third time lol.
Who would have thought pasting a few pieces of paper with tape onto a plastic signboard with a long wooden handle would take so long.
We decided to pangseh the job halfway to watch POS lol.
In fact i think almost everyone did haha.

POS was super cool. With all the flies and cheerleading.
Really brings out the unity in the individual clusters.

Message really good.

Bussing was really mad later, my team of 3 were doing the 'West' buses.
Less than half an' hour, all the buses were gone.
Kind of crazy but expected 'cos those buses were going the Jurong areas.
No wonder so hot.
Then went on to help with the 'Central' buses section.
Later, moved some barricades back to logis area before zhao'ing to Foyer 3 to meet Darryn, Shi Lin, Hui Hui and *Surprised look* Shawn.
Ok i didn't know he was coming.
Took a bus ride home where i forgot to tell Shawn to alight for the MRT TWICE. Haha.
Walked Shi Lin home together with Shawn.
While walking past this concrete bridge near bishan park, Shi Lin thought a hand could come out from drain cover, and i thought crocodiles were already a crazy notion.
Later Shawn wanted to cab home so i got a lift home *Twists Fingers with 'yeah' face*

Continue later today 'cos i need my beauty sleep.
Man this is just day 1!

Woohoo!
Back from camp and feeling better after a loooooong sleep.
Camp was fun. Went malaysia.
Lots of inside jokes haha.

First day was kind of sian cos mainly on the bus ride to camp site.
Dam gay, play cards all the way.
Then stopped cos my other card partners all felt dam queasy.
Lunch was horrible, so many flies around.
Then later played "zhong ji mi ma".
Forfeit was eat expired chips LOL.
Dam fun. I tio eat once only.

Later campsite raining and i fell lots of times cos my shoe no grip.
Black bag become mud bag.
Ashworth bag too.
Dinner ok but sian taste.
By the time we found tent and settled everything was almost 1 am.
Normal tent got 3 people only but ming xuan, yin zheng, jia kiat and me squeezed into one tent.
Squeezy but ok.
Slept, next morning, i first one wake up then jalan jalan around.
Think timo tio stomache cos camped in toilet dam long.

Later 1st activity of our camp, or rather our group.
Trekking.
Quite fun.
Each person had to bring at LEAST 6 bottles of water.
Then our group, mx had to carry 24 bottles.
Mega Water Unit(MWU) LOL.
"S1 to S2 copy."
"S2 to S1 copy, protect the mega water unit at all costs."

But not really that heavy cos have 1.5 litre bottle that me and jia kiat carry.
Then each 1.5 = 3 small bottles.
So mx only need to carry about 18++ water bottle.
Trekking dam fun.
Got tree-top walk and trek through jungle.
Jia Kiat and me kept singing the bottles song, later, Marcus, Eugene, Josiah and Kevin joined in.
At first quite fun, reached the peaks of 2 hills.
Then took a mass group pic at one of the peaks.
I kept slipping at many wet mud paths.
George teached us how to climb down using the rope and the proper posture so it'll be easier.

After that went down to the river for lunch.

That's when all the drama began.

"FUCK TIO LEECH!"
"MEL LEND ME YOUR LIGHTER!"
"Fucking leech stuck to my shoe lah ci bai!"

I got leeched and tried burning but the flame like sotsot then never burn the leech.
So i decided to let it suck my blood first and let it fall off.
.................
Reached lunch point, ate lunch while the leeches had thier lunch as well.
After eating finish lunch, my leech was still stuck there.
I wanted to burn it so i took off my socks.
Guess what?
One leech on my left foot, the foot which had the earlier leech.
Burnt it then flicked it away.
Fast wore my socks and put on my left shoe.
Then checked my right shoe.
One leech on my foot, burnt, flicked.
Then one was on the inside of the sock, flicked away.
Turned to the outside, another leech.

Everyone was panicking when the leeches flew near them lol.
Then later Bryan Wong helped me burn the first leech(which was kind of big now, from virtually 1 cm thick to at least 8 cm long and 3 cm thick now.) and it finally dropped.
After that, Bryan picked it up with the remants of a plastic spoon, burned it and it dropped.
Then i did something really gorey.
I stepped and squished it, then all the blood burst out and stained the ground.
Everyone thought it was dead.
The suddenly part of it moved.
Bryan burned it again.
Then i stepped harder and rammed it into the ground.
I think it died but i doubt leeches die that easy.

Later we trekked out of the jungle.
Shaun Paul made some interesting comments about leeches that made us all LOL while trekking.
Made it out and waited for boats.
Then had a really, really fun boat ride.
Rapid shooting i think its called.
The guides put the peddle and splashed water at other passing boats.
Of course we got splashed with water when the other boats passed by too.
Got a slight leg cramp while sitting in the boat.
Dam fun.
Later they took us to a stream.
Everyone was washing their shoes and stuff lol.
Of course there were several water fights.

Later we had to pack up and move to our new location.
Sleepy mood, set up tent then did nightwalk.
Then later they gave us a candle and walked back to camp 1 by 1.
My candle haven't walk 5 steps no light liao.
Met kevin yeo on the way.
When we were close to camp, then i remembered that i had a lighter in my pocket.
Lol.
Had to pump 10 later cos of someone who left rubbish in the forest.
Reginald hero save everyone from 20 pumping.
Then later during counting out something funny happened.
Yz counted 20 then the guy behind him counted 20 three times.
Then cos we were already re-counting the third time so everyone quite pissed.
Then Zi Wei was like "Don't joke lah." in his dam gay voice.
Yz was dam pissed and said dam loud "Go FUCK yourself lah."
Then Mr Teo was like "Who said that? Who said that? Knock it down 10."
Lol at the randomness.

Caving and abseiling the next day.
For me, the abseiling was crap.
I only abseiled 1/4 of the distance then fell all the way for the rest.
Jia Kiat abseil like some pro lol.
Mx one of the first few to do the 15m wall, Eugene too.
Some people went to do the 10m wall after doing the 15m wall.
YD, Eugene, Danny included.
Walked to the caves after dinner.
They looked dam cool on the outside.
Inside too.
That was the first cave as we climbed around.
Saw some natural formations. Cool stuff.
But second cave was kind of sian cos all the walkways were constructed and all we had to do was to follow it around.
But this time the natural formations looked more spectacular in a way.
Especially the lighting thing.

Then packed stuff and headed off to some resort.
Had dinner there.
I think Mr Teo caught me piling too much food and said "Don't forget other people haven't eaten."
MC,Joshua and Ervin's table did a yam seh, so did Lee Yang's table shortly after MC's table started.
After dinner, there was a series of taupok sessions.
I think Woony got taupoked the worst with almost 10 over people piling on top.
Later had debrief, many people sleeping lol.

Then had some mini prize giveaways in the groupings.
I got "Mountain of Food" award. Lol.
Timo got some "Tan Tock Seng" award for carrying the first aid kit around haha.
Ebun got the "My-Bag-Is-Bigger-Than-Me" award.
Reginald got the "Best Prayer" award.
Shaun Paul got the "Most Chia Laut Prayer" award.
Bryan got the "I can, I will and I MUST pee everywhere I go" award. That was DAMN LOL.
Mx got "Most Helpful" award. o.O
YD got the "Talk Most Cock" award. LOL.
Jia Kiat got the singing award lol.
Cos we kept singing the bottles song.

We tried 500 in the bus ride to the resort lol.

After that was a train ride back to singapore.
Quite smooth, Cafeteria massively crowded.
No Ramly burgers zzz.

People kept saying that i slept with my eye whites visible.
Lol George even took a photo while i slept during the wait for the train.

Camp Overall was definitely a good experience.
I made new friends and strengthened bonds with old ones.
Could say i knew the personalities of my old friends better.
Esp. George.
Now i know why never to place judgement before evidence.
New friends include - Gregory, Ming Xuan, Eugene, Ray & Roy(twins), Shi Jie
Revisitation include - George, Bryan Wong, Shaun Paul, Yan Deng
Guess my new year's resoulutions of making new friends and strenghtening old bonds can be said nearly half done(having making it pass half a year already).
Friends are your best source of Courage, Strength, Perserverance, Love, Care and also Fun just after God.
I'm sure everyone had a fun time at camp despite all the probelms we faced Amen?
But we literally Talk Cock, Sing Song Play Mahjong(Ok maybe Bridge and Tai ti in this case) during the whole camp!

After coming back from camp, received shocking news that Samantha was hospitalised because of POS. :(
Immediately bathed and rushed to the hospital after coming home.
She seemed rather weak compared to her usual radiant self.
Of course that's expected since she's still on the road to recovery.
Darryn, Jia Kiat, my mum and me were there.
Yao Hui, her sister, mum and cousins were there too.
Shi Lin and her frens(Whom i later got to know: Claire and Hui Hui) also went down.
The rest of the CG weren't there 'cos they went the previous night.
Saw Jerry and Yi Chun on our way out.
Hopefully she'll recover best before Emerge. (:

Today is the first day of checking scripts.
So its kind of slack with no lessons.
But its a strain mentally as have to consistently check for mistakes in marking, reflecting on the mistakes i've made and probably some form of emotional stress from bad results.

Ok when we got english i nearly fell asleep while waiting for it in the hall.
Oh yeah we checked as a level so everyone in the hall.

English only got back compre+summary.
I guess i kind of did not bad lah.

I think if i got all the vocab correct AND one question correct, i think i would have scored at least 37.
The last question i thought was like a lit question cos it asked "Why is capitalization used on the word Rationality?"
I was thinking like the capital is to implement a strong meaning in the word in the sentence, something like lit style.
The given answer was: "the 'R' is capitalized because it is used to represent the start of a new topic." something real technical.
I was like >:O
lol.

Then came maths.
Part A paper one. After adding back all careless mistake marks, 46.5/51.
Finalized score: 32.5/51.
Then part B 35/49.
Paper 1 56/80.
I just don't want to talk about it.
Seriously after seeing part A i was put into a really black mood.
The whole paper i was like half-listening and sleeping during the checking part.
I was really pissed lah. Kind of moany and grumpy too.

Ah but i told myself i'm gonna p0wn A maths next term.
E maths can go take a hike till O's.
Sometimes even i'm amazed by my own attitude.

Then came SS.
Essay 9/12.
Reasonably okay except majority were like scoring 11/12.
Cos i think i've missed out some statistics in my essay.
Well i didn't even memorise it. I think i only read it once or twiceand it was the day before the exam.
Then source-based got 7/13.
Part a) 6/6 O.O
Part b} 1/7 -.-
So overall its a 16/25.
64. Ugh.
After combining with geog, its upped to a 73++ for my combined humans.

Oh and for pure history i got 78.

Tomorrow's definitely the day of the feared papers.

Today in tuition i kept pushing andrew's hand while writing compo.
Lol damn fun.

Today i think school was quite pointless, no REAL lessons except physics.

I think it was a sec 1 parent looking for Ms Tan.

Facades

On a last minute attempt to improve my english writing through the simple process of blogging.
I'm thinking of changing my blogskin with one for titles.
Tempted to change to the blogskin to the one which falls on my 15th birthday.
Preferably with the ability to generate viewership for my post titles.

So anyway i wanted to decide a topic for today's post.
Honesty would somewhat be contradictory to the topic on facades.

I was never able to pronouce this word correctly.
A misprounouciation in the "fa" sound.
This term wouldn't be that unfamiliar to most people.
A simple word of six letters(minus the plural) can mean so much.
The average human would probably consist of a facade and inner self, simply put, a inner, more spiritual/mental self and the other, the outward, physical mask.

Let me first say this post is not directed at anyone or anything in existence or dead. Maybe you can learn something from the post and i do hopefully you will.
Its not everyday you see me writing so formally. Ok make that interlectually.

Back to the topic, the defination of you inner self would be who you really are, you personalities, your defined characteristics(which may seem impossible to change), your mental self, your other body. Much like the mircroscopic terms & conditions print on documents which most people don't see. Go figure the amount of rising lawsuits and conflicts.
Most of our beliefs derive from our personalities and it is in this "body" where your personalities grow, shaped and gradually define us as a person.
You outer self would be something much like a powerpoint slide. Something that where people only see a side of it or see it from a summarised(brief) point of view. The dangerous thing about this is that sometimes your mask cannot account for who you actually are. It puts a toll on people nowadays to even discover how their peers are really like as a person. An outer self usually does not wholly present your inner personalities but instead acts more as a mask to disguise yourself from others.

Don't condemn me on making this point, reflection would be a much more fruitful option.

A mask therefore in the sense of diguise is much like a facade.
There isn't any point denying that there is hardly anyone that possesses one out there.
In fact it could be said to be a human commidity.
Facades are used to blend in with your classmates to make friends.
Facades are used to suffocate others in confusion.
Facades are the things bosses want to see during a job interview.

The last one was meant to be a joke.

So continuing on my point, facades are present in almost every corner of society.
A quick example to note would be a person of rather quiet, bashful nature to be rather unnessacarily vulgar or enforce acts of embarassment just to be acceptable within a certain circle of friends.
Its not easy for one to peel off the mask to reveal who you really are.
The thing is, most people find it unacceptable to see friends having a 180 degree change in personality after a day.
They have long gotten used to the masked one.
That is also the reason sometimes why it is difficult for one to unmask one self in such a situation.

I feel there isn't a need for such complication in life.
Though it is difficult to get rid of such a mentality, it is possible.
If you friends are really your best pals, they wouldn't mind seeing the REAL side of you.
The world is becoming shallower day by day.
It dosen't have to a complete change at one go, maybe just a slight peek of it everyday.
Days turn to months and months turn to years, by a year, it would probably mean that you've felt yourself become much more honest about yourself, not only to your friends but yourself as well.

Well I think i'll be closing my topic here as my Mid Years starts tomorrow so here's a shoutout to all taking your mid year exams:

I mean just compare to any of the previous songs in her past album Under My Skin, the lyrics, the tune, all seems to be shabbily composed and hastily produced into something much, well on my opnion, much worse than any of her other albums.
It wouldn't even be fitting to call it a shadow.
Being much sort of an Avril fan, i'm quite disappointed with it.
Has mainstream music really become so senseless nowadays?
Sadly, there could be a yes present in the answer.

Today i had a revelation while walking on the way home.
Was thinking about some flirting stuff and how it was ruining people lives.
Seriously i'd prefer a lasting relationship then one love life full of scattered memories.
So i thought that if you love someone, you can only love him/her wholeheartedly and not another person.

Alot of things to do and mid-year in two weeks.
Why bother calling it mid-year in the first place -.-

Reached church at around close to 2.
Whew early.
Didn't have to do support today. So can sleep long zzz.
Help arrange chairs and stack them today.
That was the main duty for me for today's internal traffic.
Easter is some huge event.
There are like hundreds of people waiting at the CTE for seats while we're unstacking the chairs and they're either in the way or just after we stack they fast chowp seats.
Lol.
Then had to run around and help lay seats at the overflow places.
Watched the drama at the overflow there.
Woah very emo and touching.
Nice work drama team.

Then had to do alter call.
2nd time le so more experience.

Today's pointers during ushering:
1) Don't carry chairs above your shoulder.
2) Always wear your tag at a place where people can see easily.

After that our cg had a short birthday celebration yay!
Haha but I had to return to ushering after it ended.
Gladly there wasn't much work to do and there was no recycling either so i could go for the carnival.
Talked and ate abit haha.

Then later went bedok with Darryn, Shi Lin, C.K., Rolland and Nathan.
Chionged a huge cup of chin chow.
Then ate ban mian.
Nathan says, never eat dry ban mian with chilli. The taste sucks.
Lol.
Then...C.K. oradered one bottle of carlsberg!
Hahaha.
Then Nathan took two sips, Rolland had half a glass, Shi Lin too, Darryn and me had about 1 and a half glasses.
Not enough to make me seh
But it sure made me feel bloated haha.
The next time i'm drinking ever again is next year.
